I love LED lights, they change the mood, and they also look cool, and they don't cost much. I like to put them on the ceiling, I do have some on my desk and ledge, makes the room bright too! The ones I have you can change how bright they are, and you can display multiple colors at once.

I think it depends on the vibe that you're going for. I had them in the common area of my dorm suite in college and loved them. They're cool for a party vibe, they're cool for a stream / YouTube background. But as an adult, I couldn't imagine having them anywhere in my house. They're cool if you're like 23 or under, but once you get older than that they become cringe. It's kind of like an adult saying "skibidi toilet" or some other kind of slang. Just leave the young people stuff to the young people.

I don't mind having them on my peripherals or my computer case usually. I also do have a light on the back of my monitor that helps me with eye strain when I'm on my computer late at night. Other than that I don't really care for having a ton of light in my room.

In general room appearance I don't like them since I like to have a mostly dark area where my desk is and in my room I like it really dark when I sleep so unless I turned them off it would wake me up in the middle of the night.

But at my computer my keyboard and PC do have some RGB in them so I can see when I am typing when I need to orient myself and the PC just helps me walk to my desk area if my monitors cut off.
