I had a conversation with someone a while ago about ghosts and whether or not we believe they are real and this person was adamant that they were not real. I was open to the idea that ghosts are real but I didn't have a concrete explanation for them. I think they could be any number of things and am willing to entertain a story from someone who claims to have seen a ghost before.

So, thoughts? Real or fake? Delusion or specter of the after life?

I'm not really looking for anyone to prove it one way or the other. I'm more curious what people think.

I personally don't think ghosts are real. There is no evidence to suggest that they are. However, I am not foolish enough to insist that they absolutely cannot be real. The only thing I know for certain is that I don't know anything for certain.

I'm not really sure to be honest, there's been times where I can't explain what happened but idk if I would blame that on ghosts. I guess I lean no but it'd be cool if I was proven wrong.

Believe is a strong word, I don't really think about ghosts at all in my day to day life. I don't think that if they exist they would look like the floating white sheet with eyes that we have come to accept their representation as. They'd be more like energy/particle clusters knowingly or unknowingly manipulating things in the world.

If they do exist than I at least believe they are incapable of communicating with us in any direct way. There would have been very concrete evidence of this by now. So it's not like their existence would have any major effects on my life.
