Thunder is the magic spell I almost always use in Final Fantasy games. Except when the MP cost is too high or the elemental resistances say otherwise. For some odd reason, I always thought in my childhood playing FF4 and FF6, that Thunder does more damage than the other elements.

Thundaga is my favorite element cast. Mainly because of Kingdom Hearts (I know that's not a Final Fantasy but it's close enough xD). Didn't have to aim or anything, it just hit everything that was close to you. Epic!

Yeah it truly depends on the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent. Other than that, though, each of em does the EXACT same amount of damage...
