Anyone remember their very first pokemon adventure. When was the first time you played pokemon?

My adventure started in Gen 3, more specifically Pokemon Ruby. I had no idea how to pronounce pokemon names, trained just my my starter, and likely a severe misuse of masterball against a low level rodent. Honestly the most memorial part of the game will have to be Maxie's banger boss theme.

I am unsure if it was crystal or fire red. I remember fire red more. Honestly I don't remember anything if my first playthrough. I swear the weedle the old man catches was a shiny in at least one of the times I tried playing it.

If I were to make a guess thiugh my team was probably charizard and pidgeot. Kept that playstyle of starter + region bird for a long time.

My first Pokemon game was also Ruby. I chose Torchic as my first starter, got stuck in Oldale Town for a while because I didn't realize I had to go up to Route 103 to fight my rival before going to Route 102, and used my Master Ball on an Absol. I didn't know to save before battling Groudon, so if I didn't catch him on my first attempt I just wouldn't have had the box legendary. Luckily, I Blaze Kicked him down to red HP (probably was a range to kill; he hung on by a single pixel) and caught him in the first Premier Ball I threw.

I know I got Ruby before Emerald was released, and Emerald was released shortly after my 6th birthday. So if I had to guess, I'd say I was probably 5 years old when I got it.

Gonna shake up this thread and say my first one ever was Yellow. Not sure why I didn't get Red or Blue, back then, but I did get this one.

I remember very few things from it, but I do know I had it. Used to play it as well as the first Pokemon Pinball in my green Game Boy Color. I absolutely loved the concept, and back then the graphics and the ability of being a portable game and console were absolutely incredible. The love the franchise has got since then is very well earned.

I skipped Gen 2 for reasons I ignore, but I returned to Gen 3 with Sapphire and the all-new Game Boy Advance SP. I remember that one much better, probably because I played it a lot more and I was older and more experienced in videogames and what not. But that was my second adventure, and to date the last on a full core game (because Colosseum isn't considered a core game, if I'm not mistaken).

My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Y. I haven't beat it yet, even after so many years. I don't get why so many people dislike gen 6. Maybe it's cause I'm bias because it's my first Pokémon game I played, but I think it has a really good storyline and battling system. I've also haven't play much of the main Pokémon games. I've only played Pokémon Scarlet, and a little bit of Pokémon Sun, so I don't have much games to chose what my favorite is.

Pokémon Y made me feel like my Pokémon were alive. I loved the super training feature and the feature were you can play with your Pokémon. Though I wished I would have kept more of my original team. My team at the moment is: Greninja, lucario, charizard. delphox, espeon, and zoroark.

The last time I play Pokémon Y, I was about to battle the Elite Four. Should really get back to playing the game.

My first Pokemon game was Gold and I have so many memories of it. I even remember the day that my dad and I bought my Game Boy Color at a yard sale and going to the store to buy Gold right after. It's still one of my favorite videos games of all time and I have many memories of putting a ton of hours into a playthrough and then just starting over.

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Y which is crazy cause I believe the first anime I ever saw was OG Pokemon but I never owned a handheld until the 3DS so it was a long time coming my first Pokemon was Froakie the first pokemon I caught was Pikachu and I'm not gonna lie I didn't know type charts at all I probably make og Ash look like a world champion with my first playthrough but as much fond memories I have for that first team and game im ngl I don't think Y is a good game and I'm still upset we never got Z if the game had even a shred of difficulty I would enjoy it way more but it's so easy that I can't find any enjoyment in the region that introduced me to playing Pokemon :/ Hopefully the X and Y remakes in 10 years are good cause I just wanna enjoy Kalos but currently that's not possible.

My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Red. I honestly don’t remember how old I was when I got it. I know I had it with my game boy color because I never owned an original game boy. I’ve been hooked ever since aside from gen 9.

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Yellow. My dad managed to get an employee at Walmart to actually break the street date for the game and sell it to him a day early so I got to play it a bit earlier than most people lol. It was pretty much the main game I played on my Game Boy Color along with Pokemon Pinball for the longest time up until I got a Game Boy Advance and a copy of Pokemon Sapphire.

My first Pokemon game was actually Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue team, but I quickly traded with my brother for Pokemon Diamond, which I consider truly my first Pokemon game.

I still love Diamond, and it probably in my top 5 all time Pokemon games (but I don't want to think about it too much because realistically it isn't).
