I know computers crash every now and then, some freeze, and some get tormented and deleted by the work of viruses, but are there any that don't crash at all? I gave up on computer games a LONG time ago because of them always crashing and glitching...

Well you cant expect them to never have problems. but most of the time its your system rather than the game itself. There a quite a few that I have that don't crash.

I very rarely experience crashes, and if I do, it's very, very rarely the program's fault. Most malware slows down your computer because it's running it's own processes in the background, it might disable your antivirus, but going about deleting your game files? Quite unlikely.

Believe it or not, most games are made to actually run, and run well. If you're experiencing constant freezing and glitching, your computer is either extremely outdated, or overheating, or both.

Or you're running Vista.

There, fixed that for you Vista actually runs games fine, even old games work with patches, dosbox, compatibility modes, etc.
There isn't a computer that can play games (I added that bit so that no one can say Apple or Linux, because everyone knows those have no games ) that can't crash.
It's all a matter of having the right balance of protection software, good (compatible) hardware, clean file structure and keeping the games and your PC drivers patched and up to date to minimise those crashes.

Sounds like a case of blaming the game and not the player.
Have fun trying to find a game that doesn't crash. As said before, it's rarely the game. It's usually the incompatibilities of hardware, or some crap in your system that causes the crashes.

Fixed for you too. :p Try running System Shock 2 or Thief with the latest top-of-the-line graphics card, or say, Final Fantasy 7 ported to PC, or a variety of other ancient games or poorly coded, or just poorly aged games.

The Vista comment was a joke anyway. No need to dissect it, I'm aware that Vista has vastly improved upon what it once was, and can now be seen as a fully functional and competent OS. But it's infamous more for what it once was than for what it is now. :p And you knew that to begin with.

OP probably just has overheating or a crapload of malware, or a silly problem like that.

Yeah, It usually depends on the computer itself, not really the game. I guess the only way to try to prevent this from happening is for you to get a better computer, unfortunatly.(I know, I've got a terrible computer)

I'd say, only half jokingly mind you, that if a computer can't find a way to crash a program then it's not a very good computer.

OK, now not joking at all, if you're having serious problems you should do a scan of your computer. I suggest getting a temporary trial of avast! and asking it to do a bootup scan. It takes hours, but it'll find stuff that the post-boot surface scan won't pick up (it found 2 Trojan-infected files that weren't there before on my computer).
