To me, this should be a hot topic online actually. Link may have a lot of cool gear and goes on quests, but with the release of Spirit Tracks for the NDS, I believe that now we're realizing that Zelda isnt just a damsel in distress anymore, she's a kick-butt tomboy that is even more useful than half of Link's items Lol. And its not like if a game was based around her, she'd be unarmed. She'd have unique items too. So who do you think should be the main character now?

Linkis the main character because he is just awesome. He holds the Master Sword, so he gets to have his name on the Games, not Zelda. The Legend of Link, yah that's better, but legend Of Zelda has more of a clink, and The Legend OF Link sounds more weirder.

I think Link should stay the main character, HOWEVER, I also think that Zelda should continue to play a vital role with magic and music as she has in the past. Although seeing a female lead in a major video game series would be awesome. She should have her own side game like Link's Crossbow Training, I'd play that. Haha.

...so what? We've always broke off from the usual through games like Mario is Missing and Super Princess Peach. We all like to play as the side-characters SOMETIMES at least... why not now? With Zelda as the main character, 1 all players may like the general difference and play more often and 2 we may see another spike in female players just like when the 'Imagine:' series and stuff came out.
