The game is simple. The player above you says 2 characters from a video game and you explain who would win in a 1 on 1 fight; then you say 2 more characters.

All characters have access to all their abilities and equipment.
Yu-Gi-Oh characters would only have canonically used cards, for example, but they could use any card whenever they choose.

I start with Kirby vs Mario

Kirby would win, he kills universal threats like they're gnats cuz they took his cake.

Ness vs. Sephiroth

I'm not too knowledgeable on Ness's abilities, but I know very much about Sephiroth being strong... So Sephiroth.



Link vs Zelda

Zelda is a gril lmao, Link def winning.

Mega Man vs. Eggman

Megaman. Considering eggman keeps losing to a hedgehog that spins on top of him I definitely don't think he can win against someone shooting at him.


Link vs Samus

I'm voting Link have you seen how many items he carries around? I'm sure he can find someway to beat Samus.

Sonic vs Shulk.

Judging by their Smash Bros matchup head to head, I feel like Sonic would win. Shulk has a bigass sword he needs to swing, and Sonic can just use dodge attack and hit him from the back. I hope Shulk does eventually hit Sonic in the face with an Air Slash.

Donkey Kong vs. Little Mac

Donkey Kong would win, he's much bigger and stronger than Little Mac, Little Mac doesn't seem like he's beat him.

Minecraft Steve VS Sonic

The fact that Steve has methods of flying kind of invalidate most of what Sonic can do. Doubt Sonic would enjoy a lava bucket either.

Professor Oak vs. Master Chief

Okay wise guy, since you wrote a funny one, I'm giving you a super duper serious answer. Put your f***in seat belt on.

To even the playing ground, I'll use Oak's datamined team from a video game rather than just assuming Anime Oak who has access to all of Ash's Pokemon. Additionally all the Pokemon will be allowed their best stats and abilities from the games, but only the moves listed in his moveset. Additionally, any anime feats will NOT be considered.


(the starter is the disadvantageous pick to the one you picked, but that doesn't matter in this context)

Unlike the moveset which I will keep strictly at what is shown, since it's just a feature that was not present in Gen 1, I'll at least allow the Pokemon to have whichever ability is most advantageous to them in any scenario.

Professor Oak himself is not a thread to Master Chief. It comes down to if Master Chief can get through Oak's Pokemon.

Tauros - considering he's just a physical attacker with no sort of element, he probably cannot pose a threat to the armor that Chief wears, and some of the enemies he fights in his own games are similar to Tauros. Chief wins time.

Arcanine - Fire attacks can likely deplete shields from Chief's shield, so a sustained burst could probably take him down... but that's not what Ember is, so this isn't a big deal. Any explosives from Chief won't be effective because of Flash Fire, and although it's not really the same thing as fire, we'll just assume it can absorb plasma fire too. Can Arcanine survive rifle fire though? Probably not. Chief wins.

Exeggutor - At first glance, you'd think Chief might start to struggle here because he wouldn't have an answer to psychic moves. Which is true, he has no answer to Hypnosis. But what is Exeggutor going to do after that? The Stomps won't penetrate his shield. Eventually hypnosis will fail. Chief wins after a series of naps.

The Starter (Charizard / Venusaur / Bulbasaur) - I'll be quick with these. Venusaur might have a case with Solar Beam, but Chief can probably dispatch him pretty quick in the turn that's required to charge it. He could possibly struggle with a sustained Flamethrower + Fire Spin combo from Charizard, but fire isn't an immediate death sentence for him or anything - I'll give a Chief a 50/50 against Charizard. He might struggle with damaging Blastoise but I don't think Blastoise is capable of damaging him either - it'll be a war of attrition that Chief eventually wins.

Gyrados - The prior Pokemon might make you think Chief has this in the bag if he can get past the Charizard. WRONG! This is where Chief just straight out loses. This Pokemon is known for leveling entire cities in fits of rage with just it's *physical* strength - now, let's consider Hyper Beam into the mix, and I think Chief is in trouble. It's likely getting through his shield and OHKOing him. Chief's run likely ends when Gyrados comes out, unless the Gyrados is unlucky and misses a few times.

So, to sum it up............. Oak wins.

Okay anyway how about Minecraft Steve versus... um.. the Terraria guy whatever his name is?
