Yes, I know I'm late to welcoming you, but better late than never. If you're looking for RPG recommendations, you can try out... Villgust, I believe? It had been translated into English a few decades back. Mystic Ark is really underappreciated, too, though I'd suggest sticking with the Dynamic Designs translation. The Aeon Genesis translation has a rather nasty bug that renders the game impossible to progress through.
