Despite how people feel about the Royal Family right now, I'm going to explain why I probably will watch this:

This is the first time this has happened in ANY of our lifetimes, when his mother was crowned Queen television was just starting out, social media was not a thing neither was the internet

While I haven't watched any royal acts of our own monarchy, I must say I'm kind of interested in watching this one, whether or not I ultimately do it.

Besides the uniqueness of the event like you mention, Great Britain still has many ceremonial traditions kept intact. I was able to witness that live when I went to London long ago, and it feels so different from anything else I can imagine elsewhere in the world.

well I'm actually grateful that I got to see the weddings of his sons, when they had their weddings considering that Charles's wedding to Diana happened less a couple of months before my parents got married

not to mention the Jubilee celebrations, the Golden Jubilee concert was the best

speaking of which I'm glad Brian May finally got knights (his band's name is Queen for god sakes! what took them so long)

I know who the Royals are but I do not follow them. Therefore, this is one I will be skipping for sure. I will say this though Britain is one of the few developed (Industrial) countries that still keep their traditions mostly intact.
