Do you speedrun any games? Which games, and which categories? What is your highest speedrun.com leader board position?

Personally, I do not speedrun any games, but I would like to get into it. I tried Super Mario 64 16-star briefly after watching people speedrun it on Twitch, but I have little experience with the game in general, and the controls (specifically the camera) were hard for me to get used to.

I don't really bother anymore because I focus mainly on big games that take a lot of time to beat with lots of things to do. I rarely play a game that can be beaten in under like 10 hours and I'm not going to bother doing speedruns of stuff that's longer.

There is one that I did a Speedrun of recently though, called Lunistice. I had to do a review of it a few months ago and I was really liking the gameplay so I spent a few hours doing speedruns of a handful of stages and making videos.

I tried to speed-run and to be honest I was horrible at it. I died more times and did not get all the items. To me it felt like I had not completed the game even though I did.

However, there is one game I was able to speedrun. Super Mario Bros 2 is an easy game to speedrun due to the warp stations. That is the only one I consider to have successfully speed-run.

I don't speedrun any games but I was trying to speedrun a level fairly recently in Sonic Frontiers that being cyberspace 1-2 and I got pretty confident with my time over repeated playthroughs I don't think I could beat the world record for the level which last I checked was right around 40 seconds but getting my time down to around 44 seconds was fun but I don't think I'd ever like a game enough to play the entire thing through fast over and over.

I've never attempted to speedrun a game before. In fact, I'm about as far removed from a speedrunner as you can be. I prefer to meander about and explore/complete every aspect of a game before moving on to the next one (Like the one time I spent about 50+ hours collecting all 900 seeds in BOTW. It was tedious, but I was satisfied seeing the 100% completion in the bottom left corner of the map.)

I do watch the occasional speedrun YouTube likes to recommend me and it's always fascinating to see the weird methods and exploits speedrunners discover and take advantage of.

I haven't tried to get into speedrunning. Its really too time consuming for me to get into. I can never see myself dedicating 1000s of hours into a game or a few games, and im not really good at it either. I do have lots of fun watching speedrunners, i even follow a few of them on youtube and twitch. I shear insanity in some of the runs is what keeps me interested.

So since my last post here I actually decided to speedrun Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 cause I saw an opportunity for a free world record I wanna do more runs in the future when I have the time and nothing to do but I definitely could improve on my time I feel like.

I have seriously considered speedrunning Undertale, the only thing is that being competitive would require learning a ton of tricks. Not just learning the tricks themselves, but getting them consistent and nailing them all in a perfect run that doesn't softlock at any point. Even outside of tricks, it would require a lot more practice, like Asgore who, in a neutral speedrun, requires you to hit 9 quads in a row, each containing 4 frame-perfect inputs, for a perfect battle. At least for now, I kinda just want to stick to playing the game normally and relatively quickly. Maybe one day, I'll work up the nerve and drive to try speedrunning it.
