I think a good example of a discontinued comics series is when they wrapped up the Simpsons Comics five years ago (probably had something to do with the 20th Century Fox deal) and as a result we haven't had a compilation paperback book in 4 years, and I want to get rid of some of my comics

and by discontinued I mean no longer publishing period like no spin-offs or anything (that's why I mentioned Simpsons comics)

When I was about 6 years old Sonic the Hedgehog debuted. Sonic even got his own comic series. I know, there are sonic comics out still today but I'm talking about the original. The comics went to I wanna think 100 issues and was published by Archie Comics. I really enjoyed reading these comics in the bookstores. I even had some. The original was discontinued after 100 issues. That is when the new sonic comics started.

Okay the next one is a little complicated.

The original Archie and Jughead commic books. Yes I know they are still around but they are different. The originals were up to 2012. I also had these when I was a kid and I read them. They were often in check out lanes at grocery stores. I would sometimes buy Archie or Jughead. They were funny and cool to read. I read them all the way up until I was in 7th grade.

While Archie and Jughead comics are still around it is not the same. Starting in the past few years they have become very political. It seems like both sides have their agenda pushed in the new versions from what I have seen.

When I read the original it was nice to read a comic book without mentioning politics. It was a way of me and my friends forgetting about the world's problems.

I actually do remember those

Also I guess the Hanna Barbera forever line wasn't meant to last which is a shame because I really like Wacky Raceland and how they gave it a gritty reboot (and I mean gritty even Dick Dasterdly had a tragic backstory, but it didn't run long enough to give everyone a backstory)

In October 2016 I was at Comic Con and met some people from this thing called Double Take Comics and I ended up getting all of the comics that they released up until that point for free like Z-Men, which I thought was pretty good.

They were a major comic company because they were created by a former Marvel guy and owned by the people that own Rockstar Games and 2K.

The entire company shut down a month later.
