Yeah, there's nothing better than hearing a song and thinking "this is perfect the way it is" but for some songs, even those that are already fantastic, they could be made a whole lot more enjoyable or maybe even embolden how much you love a song.

When I was a teenager, I really dug the R3hab remix of Champagne Showers by LMFAO, even though even when I was a kid I thought it was a pretty weak song. I felt the vivid soundscapes and ultra unique sounds in the R3hab remix made the lyrics feel more special.

Nowadays, I find myself really liking David Guetta's version of Benny Benassi's Satisfaction, remixed by Hardwell & Maddix. That's both a remix and a remake in one! I really hope I never have to hear how this man butchered I'm Blue ever again, but this is a solid take on a fantastic song. I also really like the Diplo remix of Edamame by Rich Brian and bbno$, and have probably gotten the most plays out of SOPHIE's remix of Sweat by SONIKKU and LIZ.

This is a safe upload, but if you have epilepsy please avoid seeking out the official upload on Sonikku's channel!

I really like the Unlimited Gravity Remix of Sail, which while I don't like it more than the original song, I really do love the remix and will listen to it on occasion.

I'm absolutely a fan of remixes, I listen to a lot of them even if sometimes they don't surpass the greatness of the original, sometimes because the chosen genre isn't the one that suits it best.

One of my favorite is definitely Equinoxe 4 by DJ Quicksilver. He took a massive masterpiece of the late 70s by none other than Jean-Michel Jarre (my favorite all-time musician) and turned it into an incredible dancefloor hit of the mid 2000s almost without altering its melodies.

I also love the remix Rebellion made for Titanium by David Guetta and SIA. You can truly feel the raw hardstyle sounds of Rebellion combined with a massive melody you can sing along to. One of the first songs I think of when somebody wants me to introduce them to hardstyle.

On the more amateur side, I also have remixes in my playlist that could perfectly challenge those made by professionals. One of my favorites is a hardstyle remix of the popular session by Bizarrap and Quevedo, made by an artist I'll start following very seriously this year after listening to his original tracks.

And well, I can't finish this list without mentioning the remix Noisecontrollers did of Move Your Ass! by Scooter, my all-time favorite band. I honestly dislike somebody touching my favorite artists with their dirty hands, specially if they aim for a good song of them, but this time I must say it got a very special treatment and produced a banger just in the same level the original was back in the 90s. And in fact, it ended up shaping Scooter's own style itself, as they released their own hardstyle single not long after and have included hardstyle drops in their songs in the last years, so I couldn't be happier about said remix happening.

I've grown to love the Glitch Mob version of Seven Nation Army but only because of how many times I heard it back in the day in the GI Joe trailer. Before that, I had never heard of the song or of Glitch Mob and I remember listening to this for weeks afterwards.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the notification for this remix featuring Lyn from Persona 5??? I love her work in P5 so this was just perfect for me, I'm really happy they included the bit after the 2nd chorus with the It Doesn't Matter guitar solo and the singing after as that was my favorite version of Escape from the City.

I just heard a song that I completely forgot was a remix and that's the best song in Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed Burning Depths I know nothing about the Burning Rangers but the song has made me wanna try the game for years.

I have a few remixes

One of my favorites is Steve Windwood's Valerie. The song Valerie originally came out in 1982. It did not chart that high. Even though the song had a nice beat to it.

However, 5 years later Windwood remixed the song. He made added an electric sound to it. This time it was a huge hit peaking at #9 on the charts and going gold in 1987.

Both versions of Valerie are very good. However, the remix is better than the original and one you will hear on Oldies and classic hits radio stations.

Another remix and it also counts as a cover. In the late 1960's Eddie Floyd had a hit with Knock on Wood. His version had a lot of horns and was slow paced. In 1979 Amii Stewart added a disco sound to it and sped it up. Her version was a huge hit and it was her only top 40 hit. Her remix is the one you hear on radio stations to this day. However, the original version is also played.

For Video Game Music

In Mega Man X2 Bubble Crab's theme was amazing. It was peaceful, it was relaxing, and it made you just want to pause the game just to listen. In Mega Man X5 they did a remix of the tune for the Whale boss. The remix version in X5 is close to the original. They just added extra sounds. It still has its original flavor to it.
