I used to be a massive fan of soda. You wouldn't be able to see me unless I had either an energy drink or a wacky Mountain Dew flavor in my hand. Due to recent changes in my life, I've been almost entirely away from soda, with the most sparkling goodness I'd get being through a bottle of Perrier and the odd gingerale. I'd say I have maybe one full fizzy drink every week now. I definitely miss it, but now, Coca Cola tastes kinda gross to me after enough time away, and with Voltage, my former favorite Mountain Dew flavor, I can taste the concentrations of sugar within the drink to such a degree it's hard to want to go back to it. I had a sodasteam machine that's been collecting dust, but it served as a great alternative to regular fizzy drinks with a fraction of the calories without being teeming with aspartame.

How about you? Are you a big fan of soda/pop? How much do you think you consume on a daily or weekly basis? Are you looking to cut down how much you drink, or do you see few issues with how things are now?

It's high, I probably drink upwards of 2 liters a day. I kind of became addicted to soda in 2020 when I started working at a fast food restaurant and its been so accessible that I've kept drinking an absurd amount each day.

I know its a pretty big problem, and certainly has negatively impacted my health, but that's the thing with addiction: I can't really help it.

Until I really see some seriously negative effects, I don't think I'll stop drinking as much as I do. I've tried to cut back, especially with soda prices going up, but now that school has started back up I have free access to as much as I want, which is both a blessing and a curse.

I used to be extremely bad about Soda Consumption, sometimes I'd drink a whole 12 Pack a day and I've thankfully cut that down to probably like 2-3 at most, maybe a bit more if I happen to want to quench a thirst.

When I was working at my Gas Station job however I basically had free soda all the time so I kinda ruined that for myself, Started getting like 3-4 refills every night. It was pretty great but absolutely wasn't good for me, even though I was running around all the time lmao

Also speaking on MTN Dew I also happen to do that with flavors I really enjoy. Baja Blast and Manjo are some of my favorites and usually they would be marked down if you get like 3 packs of 12 so basically i splooged into it just so I didn't have to buy another 12 pack for the week.

I have the habit of almost always drink soda in my meals out of home, and sometimes at home as well. It's like they spice up meals and keep it away from the routine, adding a flavor touch that allows a much higher level of enjoyment of a simple act that can be a poorly cooked lunch xD

I'd say that at most I sit at 7 cans a week, that is, one per day. I don't like to exceed that limit, because fizzy drinks can have an unwanted side effect on my health and I want to run zero risks with that. I do sometimes exceed it, but I do it consciously and stay away from them the following days.

Outside of meals, I rarely drink anything other than water. I'm not the kind of guy to have a bottle, can or glass by me as I do things, though when I was living with my parents I did have a stint of doing just that to further evade myself from the toxic ambient.

Oh, and I'm absolutely away from energy drinks. I have tried them, but they haven't really picked my interest to look further down the flavor list and explore them. The only thing similar to them that I consume is Fritz-Kola, a German soft drink which has a high amount of natural caffeine and is only sold in glass bottles, but that amount of caffeine means I consume it only when I need to stay awake, so I may take one when I have to wake up at 7 AM for a full day of exams soon xD

As someone who hates water and is diabetic my choices in drinks is pretty limited so my go to is diet pop which I normally drink about a 2 liter a day, I wanna someday find a bottled water I like enough to switch too but that's never happened so far plus I don't know how I'd handle how much less energy I have drinking anything but pop.

I drank a lot of soda and energy drinks. I sort of grew up with it and kept going with it until my late teens. My favorite used to be Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew and Cherry Coke. I used to drink a lot of Monster too when I was pulling all nighters on the site. Although I've always had some level of self consciousness about it (in terms of limiting myself in how much I would drink each day) I was definitely being very unhealthy nevertheless.

At some point I stopped, in turn with making my life less centered around online activities in general and focusing more on my health. Now I really only drink soda during social occasions. Kind of in the same way someone is a social smoker I guess.

My main reason has less to do with general health and more so because it absolutely wrecks your teeth through erosion and weakening the enamel. This is the main reason, I try to stay away from all carbonated drinks, even sparkling water. I used to hate drinking regular water but surprisingly once I started to drink it more and more while weaning myself off sugar, I came to prefer it. Nothing really quenches thirst in the same way as a glass of water.
