Yu-Gi-Oh has two primary online battle systems, Master Duel and Duel Links. From what I've found, Master Duel is the primary game and Duel Links feels more like the lite version. I have downloaded Master Duel and loaded it up a few times, but never given it a fair shot.

Has anyone here played either one of them? Maybe recommend one over the other?

I think getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh would be fun, but my deck is about a decade behind and I don't want to reinvest in buying a lot of new cards.

I do play Master Duel, and it's absolutely recommended. I don't play online because I hate the absurd metagame, but the Solo mode has me absolutely glued even when facing tremendous hardships.

Another platform I use, though it's been a while since I booted it up, is The Dawn Of A New Era. It's a free, automatic PC platform for playing casually or competitively, the closest to professional games developed by Konami itself.

In Master Duel, just like in real life, you need to amass the cards by buying booster packs or using/modifying exisitng structured decks. In TDOANE, however, the full database with endless copies is available from the get go, which is the reason why I have like 30 decks on that one xD

If you decide to check any of them, feel free to call me for a match.

I have played Master Duel a lot when it first came out but I don't think it's a great to jump in and play online immediately, I think it's way better playing with people you know right at the start.

I love the collecting aspect of Master Duel.
