For more than a decade, Harry Potter fans have awaited a quality game on a new age console. With Hogwarts Legacy set to release soon on PC, anticipation is high. Currently, the game is the most bought game on Steam.

Are any of you especially excited for the upcoming release? There has also been a lot of controversy surrounding JK Rowling for her transphobic comments in recent years.

I am quite excited for the game, as I was a big fan of the quiddich game released on gamecube many years ago. I really hope the game is a success, because its likely the last one to be made in the Harry Potter universe.

I can't help but have the feeling that they're going to mess it up somehow, whether that be through monetization or releasing an unfinished product but as a dedicated Harry Potter fan, I hope I'm wrong.

I am a fan of some of the older Harry Potter games, like Quidditch World Cup, Chamber of Secrets and the old handheld RPGs. I especially loved exploring areas in the Chamber of Secrets game on PS2 as a kid. By combining different aspects of those games, I think it could be a huge success.

Used to be a big fan of the world and its intricacies but ever since the story ended, everything to do with this property has stunk to me. The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts never interested me despite being the exact premises that I wanted, and that's before she admitted to being narrow minded towards others. The transphobia is certainly not chill and leads on to other possible hateful conduct or weaving into the story with adaptations like this. That alone makes me weary of funding her, as she may be now trying to trick children into a hateful belief system using her intellectual property and immense wealth. So, I'm concerned about the concept of the antagonists of this game being unironically "big nosed goblins who run the banks are abducting our children" which runs a little too close to historic anti-semetic propaganda and was used again a few years before World War II started, and currently exactly what the craziest of conspiracy theorists turned extremists believe, and it's been done for hundreds of years now.

I loved exploring its world in older games, the history behind it, the classes, and the assuredly awesome combat system will make this one hell of a game, but made with somebody who I really can't get behind and maybe containing neo-Nazi rhetoric baked into the story. After what happened with a certain egomaniac bipolar rapper last year, rates of anti-semetic language and cases of violence towards Jewish people have skyrocketed. Would rather not contribute to that in any way if I can help it.

I'm really excited because it honestly looks like there's just going to be so much more to do in terms of content and gameplay than all the other games instead of just being a modern Harry Potter game. Like I'm fairly confident that if all the older ones were released now with modern graphics and such that HL would still be the superior game by far. There's so much that I'm looking forward to about it.
