So, thanks in part to movies like Avatar, the 3D genre is coming back with a vengeance. So much so that they are now coming out with 3D computers (and PC games), televisions, and more than likely consul video games. My question is what do you guys think of this?

I ask this because tonight will be the first ever 3D sports broadcast shown in the United States... oddly enough, it's an NHL game (Rangers vs Islanders).

I don't care much for it really, I'm still on a really old tv has no HD or plasma stuff and its not flat screen either But once one company spits out new technology then the others will want it as well so it could increase competitiveness in television if people care a lot about it. Might change visuals but I don't think that will fix all the crap tv shows on

It might be cool from time to time but I don't know how much I would consistently want to see everything I look at in 3D. Just seems like too much to me, cool idea though.

It just enhanced the quality and realism of the movie. I think that 3d might become a new big thing, since it will make things even higher quality than HD, or it could flop terribly, like the laser disc player, but then it's sequel will do very well.

I wish to also point out the have 3-D books on google free books. An well 3-D seems a bit much anymore because more than half the people didn't even go to the HD style yet. (I haven't and don't plan to.)

Exactly. I mean, yeah, 3D is cool... but why 3D tv? Why not just have 3D glasses and give the option for it so that you do not have to go out and spend fortune on a new television, computer, etc just to play or watch new stuff?

And for the record, HD makes WAY more sense than 3D. I wouldn't mind getting a HDTV.
