I was recently able to get my hands on the first volume of Akashic Records, which usually sells for around $50 and I think it's the only manga I own that costs more than retail price.

Personally, I don't at least to my knowledge the first chapters of Dragon Ball Z can't be that expensive... Yeah looking into it costs a whopping $8 lol. I can't imagine I'll ever own any rare manga since I just prefer watching anime over reading manga.

I have a copy of the first volume of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo but it's pretty beat up from when I was a kid. Looks like a copy in good shape goes for $40 CAD, about 4 times more than what I paid for it.
