You know for once I don't really have a clear idea of what I wanna say for my anniversary on Vizzed thread. I guess I'll address about my inactivity the past few weeks I'm not sure if anyone really noticed but for the first time in years I've not been online every single day as I only have access to vizzed through an old PC or my phone and posting on phone ain't really the same. I keep being told things should go back to normal the next week each week which is frustrating but I don't wanna get into all the why's and such but even when I have access to my PC I'm not sure things will get much better. So now that I've covered where I've been I guess I should talk about the future some which I'll be honest I've started to feel like I might be getting towards the end of my time being active on both the server and the site but like I still have goals to hit so I still have at least a year left and even after I get the feeling I'll have to exhaust myself to be ready to take a break from staff cause Vizzed has meant alot to me for a long time tbh I thought about skipping making this thread this year but since I'm not sure how many years I'll be active enough to make this thread I figured I'd go ahead and make it though knowing me now that I've stated how I feel I'll end up being on staff another 5 years and make this thread look silly but now I'm just rambling.

Hrm, burnout is super common and normal. I personally think that people's tenure on sites will often naturally pass, but with Vizzed, well we simply don't have the new users for anyone to take a break. If we leave, then there won't really be a board anymore now will there, eh?
I did notice the board has been less active lately, and you did post a fair bit, so even though I don't usually look at your activity specifically, everything has an effect. I hope you're back up and running soon, you may only have a year or so left in you, but we're all glad you're still around.

SonicOlmstead : You're one of the few members helping hold this place together. If you're finally starting to get this attitude, it definitely means I have to do something about this place before the traffic starts to sink back down. It has started to increase over the past 2 years and I need to find ways to help keep that momentum going.

Congrats on 8 years man. I just passed 17 this January which seems crazy.

As for burnout - the toughest thing I found about stepping down was still visiting the site but not having the same ability to help out with things.

Though honestly - I can't imagine there being a ton of stuff to do right now compared to back in the day. Not saying it wouldn't still weigh on you but maybe the burnout is more self-inflicted?

I think you've hit the nail on the head completely cause I feel like if I was truly going to step away I shouldn't be staff while I'm away and it's kind of hard to going back to not being able to help like not only on the site but on mc cause I've just gotten so used to being able to take care of issues when they arise.
The burnout is also definitely self inflicted as well as I keep activity competing in tour de vizzed which I wanted to win 7 green jerseys in a row but realizing how much I'm not enjoying your de vizzed I'm seriously considering asking for a dq in everything at the start of next tour de vizzed so I can just post without worrying to much about the rules as I find posting as I want more fun instead of everyday for the competition.

I truly hope this site does start getting more traffic soon. The more users we have on here the more oppurnities I'll have to interact, I'd love to post more often here

Hey man! I was very active on this forum roughly 10 years ago when I was like 13 so I don't think our paths ever crossed. I am only just now starting to get back on the site and definitely understand the burnout you're feeling. I used to post like crazy on here and now this is the first time I've even logged in since 2019. I am hoping to be active on here again and hope to see you around! Are you feeling burnout because of things going on in your personal life?

I think my extreme burnout back when I made this was just due to the tour de vizzed more than anything but it could also be due to not being able to post on PC but I think I'll be more active again once I have access to my PC.

SonicOlmstead : I gotcha. I didn't know the Tour de Vizzed was still a thing. I remember when David first started it and I was so hyped lol. I think I only ended up getting like one jersey though. There was some tough competition back in the day.
