I've made some adjustments to the powers a user has when they're Site Staff or a Moderator. The following also impacts users who have been added to a page as a "Staff" or "Admin".

Site Staff and Moderators have been given basic powers on all pages. More specifically, Power Level 1 (more on that below). Now I'm not sure how this impacts the rest of the site so if a Site Staff member or a Moderator suddenly have access to things that they shouldn't please let me know ASAP.

By default, Site Staff and Moderators didn't have very many powers throughout the site, unless the power was directly given to them on a page or directory (like in a forum, for moderators). This change was needed in order for the Site Staff to add characters to the Video Game Characters feature.

Besides being a staff member, the other way to get powers is if someone adds you as a "Staff" or "Admin" to a page. In these cases, the "Staff" users lost some powers. When someone is a "Staff" member of a page, their Power Level is 1 and when they're "Admin", their Power Level is 2. I'll break down the differences between the power levels.

Power Level Users
1 = Site Staff and Moderators
2 = Global Moderators
4 = Admins
1 = When you're added as "Staff" on a page or directory
2 = When you're added as "Admin" on a page or directory
3 = When it's a page that you own or created (your profile, song playlist, uploaded image or album, your forum, etc)

Power Level Permissions
1 = Add content to a page
1 = Sometimes view extra content
1 = Edit content (for some pages)
2 = Edit extra content
2 = Alter a page's appearance / theme
2 = Remove Content
3 = Alter a page's layout
3 = Add or Remove "Staff" or "Admin" on a page
4 = Edit users, access special pages and settings

That doesn't go over all of the permissions but it's just a summary. Sometime in the near future, hopefully this month, I plan to make additional changes to the Powers / Permissions and then thoroughly document this stuff.

Staff : If this update impacts anything on the site negatively, let me know ASAP. I don't know if this update will cause conflict on any of the pages since I don't have time to investigate that but I'm assuming nothing will be negatively impacted.

I remember being pleasantly surprised by the powers given to me as a global mod (and later admin) two years ago. This seems like the next logical step so I'm happy to see it implemented now.

No more manually adding mods to forums sounds like a dream for the current team haha.

Furret : I honestly don't remember why I never did it, or if maybe I just forgot to do it.

Local Mods would still have to be added to forums for full powers over those forums. But, if it is an issue, I think adding them as a staff member to the forum index page might grant them those same powers to all forums (but I could be wrong).

Found this out when trying to add a few characters for a person that requested a few.

pokemon x : Done. While I was at it, I also made it so that the Edit link is in each Franchise box on the Franchise page. I also made it so that the Franchise link takes you to the Characters page with characters filtered by that franchise.

I can currently see the moderators forum listed on index (forum ID 2) but cannot enter the forum. (I had to check my power level, I thought my promotion got granted lol)

Oh hey look another possible issue this time.

When I added a character for the first time it gave me this url which is the incorrect one.
