At this point there are more people I know who have gotten it than people who haven't. I'm not sure if it's just because the new omicron variant is so much more easily spread or if it's all one big coincidence.

Before, most people who caught covid were the people not getting vaccinated and not respecting measures like the lockdown, masks, and the bubble system (at least that's a thing here, idk about the US).

Recently though I've seen plenty of people catching this new variant even though they and the people around them have been respecting the guidelines. I know some bigger names in my country have also gotten it recently, I'm just hoping I can continue to avoid it. Getting my booster shot soon.

Furret : Over here at least, the number of cases during the Omicron peak was 3-4 times higher than the initial peak last April.

Personally I think it has to do with testing. Omicron has more symptoms, ones that also can be had during a common cold. Symptoms of the original strain were not shared with common colds/flus other than fever. So people who just had common cold symptoms weren't getting tested but now a runny nose can mean Omicron.

I had a headache and a sore throat for one day and when I got tested for work, it was positive.


As for the shows, it's very good that they usually don't go within like 10 feet of the audience anyway so there shouldn't have been much spreading.
