I know I've talked about this before but I think Death Note is the most overrated anime ever before going on to explain why I feel like this I will say it's been years since I first watched it and I've never tried rewatching it but the first 18 episodes would of got a 10/10 from me I was so into it but the moment that a character does something that ended up making the show way less interesting. I thought it became way more boring and went from like a 10/10 to a 7/10 to what I finally ended up on when it was over a 6/10 I don't really have any deep analysis on why I feel this way but I still see people talk highly of it and every time I'll say the first 18 episodes were perfect everything else was just not good.

I don't have another show specifically that I want to give a hot take on at the moment but I do have a couple anime films I have issue with. I'll start out with Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' I hate this film for taking something I was so hyped for and making the most uninteresting film possible out of it I watched Battle of Gods so many times it was my favorite film when it came out it felt like a perfect mixture of DB comedy and action at least to me and so then when it was revealed my all time favorite character was returning I was so hyped but the movie just fell on it's face even though it's Freeza there is no tension in the film it just feels lifeless which is not helped at all by the decision to not have any lead up to the new transformations which made Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan hard to take serious until Dragon Ball Super eventually made me like the form.

My last 2 movies are both Pokemon movies I'll start with Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us I was really interested in how this film would go after I Choose You and I was okay with it up until the point where this Pokemon who doesn't trust humans was won over by the worst Ash Ketchum friendship speech of all time and then I think they try to pull the stupid Ash is dead card again and I was so mad.

Finally the last Pokemon movie I have to talk about is Pokemon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom me and Furret watched this movie in 2020 and it was so bad it was hilarious I remember thinking a while into the movie like man we've watched for what feels like forever and nothing happens and I looked and we were 45 minutes into the film with another 45 minutes to go, and a sense of dread set in so then it finally gets to it's stupid plot and this one guy wants to move a castle back to where it used to be like 3 miles north of where it currently is for some stupid reason I don't care to remember so then he does and like the whole world is like ending or something until they land the castle also Ash dies again in another really bad attempt to get some emotion about a pointless film. So to close I shall leave you with meme I sent my friend based on Spongebob "What if we take this castle and we push it 3 miles north"

I don't like (original) Evangelion and I think people take it way too seriously. The director/writer/etc has gone on record multiple times saying "its not that deep" i.e., the Christianity symbols only being used because he thought they looked cool. The anime is just about preteens dealing with hormones and daddy issues. The movies are admittedly better, particularly End of Evangelion, but it's still nothing amazing. I think the concept it tackles is cool, at least.

I honestly don't think Boruto needs to exist at all it doesn't really add anything unique that Naruto didn't already do but better. I feel that I could watch all of the filler in Naruto in a row and somehow I would find it more exciting than I ever found Boruto I genuinely believe they have no idea where they want the story to go and it really shows. Can you name more than 5 of the kids? I can only name the main 3 even after watching multiple episodes of it to give it a fair chance. It never got much better.
