I've been interested in musical instruments since I started posting on Vizzed, but due to time constraints, distractions, and money, I've never been able to buy or learn to play one. Living in an apartment complex, I'm still not really able to go out and buy a saxophone for 3AM practice like my nocturnal self would have to.

However, I got a MIDI controller and some production software and I've been learning how to play notes and piece things together without causing any noise.

How about you, do you play any musical instruments?

Whenever I get bored I start playing with my jar of mayonnaise. Make some tunes and jam out with many complaints of people saying mayonnaise isn’t an instrument. Tho that was years ago, just like me playing guitar back then for my now ex… I haven’t touched that guitar since… cue depressed mood

I used to play the piano a long time ago but it's been so long that I kind of forgot. Over the summer I paid $4 for a classic guitar. It only had 3 working strings and was able to play a little like that but eventually I'm going to get it fixed and start playing more often. I do want to learn to play the drums too because I had some a long time ago but lost them.

Ever since I realized I'm decent at singing I've wondered what it would be like to play an instrument but I've never had any lasting interest in anything because honestly I don't believe I would stick with it long enough to really pick up any skill with an instrument if I ever did try I would imagine me wanting to play guitar cause that's normally the only instrument I can really pick out when it's being played and such in a song so that or maybe drums? I don't know I'm perfectly happy just being able to sing though.

I was forced to play the recorder in Primary School which I'll admit wasn't much fun especially considering none of us wanted to play it clearly and it ended up sounding awful, think of nails against a chalkboard and you're about halfway there already. In high school we had to play on the keyboard and when I say play its more like two people each share half of it and we are told to recite a short tune and we spend the whole lesson repeating it over and over only to go around the class each doing it in front of everyone, fun I know. The only instrument was when I was young I was trying to go out of my way to learn was the violin but no matter how hard I tried it ended up sounding like dying cats I haven't really tried anything like that since.

So like I'm really bad with keeping with something if it doesn't consistently catch my interest. And that include instruments which I love, specifically Piano, Melodica, Violin, Guitar, and Bass. I know and have basic knowledge and skill on all of those but couldn't play anything or tell you how to use or tune it.

It's quite sad since I've spent a lot of money on materials and stuff for them, play it for a month or two, and then just hide it away. I really wish I stuck with Melodica and Violin specifically.
