I'm gonna really enjoy the MOBA, but more importantly, Arceus is looking quite sweet. I think it still needs some graphical tune ups, as Game Freak really isn't delivering on that front since their move to HD. However, it's probably the most interesting Pokémon game I've seen in forever. I'm really excited to use the dodge rolls.

I'm not touching the Diamond and Pearl remakes with a ten foot pole. They're a huge disappointment to me.

Well, I'm a MOBA fan. It doesn't matter whether the MOBA is bad or not, imma try it. Especially with Snorlax in it, I mean, come on!

As for BD/SP. Well I don't see the point. Sure, they remade it in 3D, but barely. It's the same scale essentially, and I find the shadows they used just strangely dark. The trailer was cool, but myself and many other fans I've seen around really wanted something on par with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Something equivalent to a mainline entry visually, which is what every other remake has been so far,

Now, considering Game Freak is tied up with Arceus, we probably wouldn't have gotten it if they hadn't outsourced the remake, and I certainly prefer a creative new property to a nice remake. However, I know there are many who have done nothing but talk about these remakes for years, and as an empath, I feel their disappointment over the smaller scale of it than prior ones.

After watching it, my priorities seem to have flipped compared to how it originally was.

BDSP looked great. Definitely much better than my previous expectations, and definitely much better than the first trailer they showed off. I was not at all impressed by the first trailer and honestly was just going to write the game off, but now this is a definite play for me.

Arceus however... kinda failed to impress me like it did the first time. Although I will say at the very start, it is no fault of Game Freak's. The game looks great, for a Switch game - but therein lies the problem. It's far too ambitious for that piece of junk hardware. I like the general aesthetic they were going for but honestly the backgrounds just look like s***, but I'm nearly positive it's the Switch's fault that it simply couldn't handle better backgrounds lol. However, I am attracted to the general concept and idea of the game and am definitely looking forward to it, considering it will be an entirely new experience instead of the same old Pokemon formula we're used to for so long now. It just did not take the graphical leap I was hoping it would, and it's a bit jarring. Of course, it's also got more time in development, so things could still change for the better.
