Ok so I’ve had this conversation with my friends but I’ve always felt like using legendary Pokemon on my main team kinda of removes a lot of individual factors from the games. My reasoning is that if everyone uses legendaries it makes my team feel less special as a kid I always liked comparing my team with my friends seeing which pokemon we picked rather than everyone having the box legendary on their team. Sorry if these seems like a dumb question I was just wondering.

It's always been clear to me that legendaries are some of the strongest Pokémon in existence. As a result, using them feels like cheating, so I abstain. This is a function of my OCD. Are you sure you don't have a touch? It seems like most people don't even consider issues like this.

I think a lot of people think about this and for me I used the legendary on my first ever team but since then I pretty much never use legends on my main team because it removes a team member from my team for some overpowered thing that will make the rest of the game a complete cake walk. Also it's not a dumb question in the slightest don't worry so much.

Personally, I like to get my team pretty well built early in the game to have a good balance of traits, and then I get used to using that set, so by the time I get to legendaries, they don't really fit in anywhere. Sometimes I would add one in if it could replace one of the other Pokemon in the set to keep it complete or if I just thought it was too cool to pass up. But I agree, it feels sort of soulless to use only the legendary Pokemon when you could have a team that really reflects what you like and your battle style. So many choices, so little time.

I almost never use Legendaries as most of the time they don't even impress me in a way that makes me want to use them. The few times I have used a legendary was because I literally had no one else I wanted to use in my party. And that would be in Pokemon Y where I used Yvetal because no other pokemon spoke to me.

I don't but it's mostly because there aren't that many legendaries from the last few generations that I like enough. There's a bunch from the first four that I do love using when I can but they were either not available for transfer from Home or weren't as good as my other options at the time.

I almost never use my legendary pokemon for the main game for a few reasons: 1) They usually arrive quite late in most games, so not really much time to use them to begin with, 2.) By the time I do encounter them, I have already assembled a full team of pokemon with a variety of purposes and typings that I don't feel like throwing out of balance, and 3) With how easy newer pokemon games already are, I really don't want to make things any easier by using a legendary pokemon with 600+ stat totals, there's rarely ever anything that serious or threatening in the main games except maybe catching another legend. Ultra Necrozma was pretty ridiculous the first time I encountered it in US/UM, but even then, you know when you'll be facing a legend and can prepare a strategy accordingly.

The only reason I might ever level them up is either for competitive battling or just for the pleasure of seeing their enormous stats increase and max out before storing them in a box.

I tend to not use legendary pokemon because usually by that time you get them you already have a team that you love and have grown to rely on that and for me personally they seem kinda out of place in comparison to the other pokemon so it feels weird having them on the team for me. I also like to think that it helps to make whatever battles are left a bit more challenging.

Honestly I don’t even think of using legendaries for my six mon team and I just feel like it’s pointless to have them in your squad you’ve been building throughout your Pokémon journey… unless it’s a level 5 mew ????.

Hell no. I feel like it's so cheap and boring to put this legendary on my team of buddies that have stuck with me the whole way through the game.

I'll use them in certain challenge runs (hardcore nuzlockes, etc.), but only the non-overpowered legendaries. I'll allow myself to use something like Moltres in those runs but not something like Giratina or Mewtwo. Still, I'd prefer not to.

Even as a kid I didn't like to use legendaries. The only one I actively used was Dialga in my original Diamond copy because I loved Roar of Time and Flash Cannon. Plus I can't even lie Dialga has a great design. As well as the connection with mystery dungeon 2, one of my all time favorite games. He's the lucky one I guess
