For any who have talked to me for an extended period of time will come to learn that I try to mod or hack various pieces of technology for fun, but also to get more out of it that I couldn't otherwise.

For instance is have an Original Xbox that i've come to call my pride and joy. I've set it up to my liking and does much more than just game, though that is a thing it can do.

I have a video showing it in action on an old TV.

Do you have any consoles that you've done similar things to? If I remember the PSP and Wii were very popular for this sort of thing.

Great topic. I remember the original Xbox being really popular to mod years ago. I've never modded mine but I have always wanted to mod my Xbox 360, especially since there are Xbox Live games that were pulled from the Marketplace and so you can only get them now by modding an Xbox 360.

Systems I've modded:
-Wii
-PSP

Systems with hardware mods that I bought:
-3DS (lets me hook it up to computer)
-TurboGrafx (with HD output)

Not really modding but modified to play retro games:
-Raspberry Pi

Dreamcast hardware modding is getting pretty popular. I've been considering it for a while now where you replace the disk drive with a harddrive and play games directly off of that (requires some soldering). I've also always wanted to get one of those classic gaming consoles like the NES Classic Edition and mod it to play more games than what it comes with.
