PM Inboxes No Longer Show 'MESSAGE NOT FOUND' Messages

Sometimes when a PM is sent, the message attached to the PM doesn't get sent. There are various reasons for this but it usually happens to automated messages like the ones that get sent when someone purchases something from the Vizzed Market. They're annoying because they taunt a user and they cannot be moved or deleted.

I made it so that the inboxes no longer show PMs that are missing a message.

Glad you were able to find a solution. Might be worth checking deep and fixing the main issue causing messages attached to PMs to not be sent, though.

NovemberJoy : I think it's usually automated messages where the title has an apostrophe. I did fix a few things with it a while ago which greatly reduced how often messages end up like that but I will definitely troubleshoot it some more and find a solution that eliminated it completely.


pennylessz : Some are still showing up for some reason but it's only like 2%. It made going through my Private Messages really frustrating lol.

So there were some messages that weren't completely missing that this update affected. I've fixed this. However, for those messages, even though the title of the message made its way to the database, the content of the message did not. So for those, they'll show up in your inbox with their title but when you click it, it'll let you know that the message cannot be found.

I'm not yet sure why these messages would have their contents wiped but I'm assuming it's either because the messages were too long, the message contains characters my script didn't like, or my script detected it as a security risk. I will hopefully figure out a cause soon and then apply a fix.
