well I couldn't really make an effort yesterday, I'll try harder

I was unable to do anything yesterday as I was caught up with a familiar reunion, but today I've been able to post a bit so I expect my wordy nature to pay its dividends.

zander seems on a roll yet again, leading three jerseys and two banners as we approach the first week of competition. It already seems he and Sonic will fight for the win unless someone pops out of nowhere, which sadly has been the trend for the past years.

Contrary to past years, however, we have a white banner holder before reaching day seven. That's quite nice to see, and better yet to see a holder that won't fall out of competition due to registration date. The best sign to start this difficult year for the Land of V.

EX Palen : Sorry to disappoint but it won't be me and zander fighting for the win after learning that he was going for rainbow and that he wanted to give me hell I realized something I already competed vs Zander last tdv and win or lose to out effort zander during tdv would be to much stress for me to ever feel like it was worth it I started doing tdv this year for fun not to stress myself out so I've begun starting putting my effort into other things on the site. Sorry zander you'll have to find someone else to give hell.

SonicOlmstead : Ah, yes, I've seen this before quite a few times. Zander actually has a reputation for taking anybody who wants to beat him to the very limits. Besides, the TdV can already overburn you by itself, so you took the right decision.

I guess this means we're in need of a new contender to challenge one banner and at most two jerseys, because he'll take Blue by storm and Green is basically unpredictable. Not the worst scenario we've seen, but nothing we can do against such strong competitors when they're on the roll.

EX Palen : Yeah, it gets sad if someone just runs away with it. Normally, if I make someone fight for it, I end up dropping to 3rd after I've done my part.

I think green is the one that's most predictable, Sonic can run away with it just by doing staff work.

That's one of the biggest reasons I decided to full on compete yesterday, I thought admin v regular person had a nice ring to it.

As expected, my wordy nature paid its dividends. More than I thought, because placing in Red just with posts wasn't in the plans, so better yet I guess.

I'm exactly 111 points short of reaching the fabled 2k milestone. It's still mathematically reachable if I have relatively strong days like yesterday, scoring at least 10 points to make up for the days I won't be active, but until the last third of the month I won't be able to make any extra push so we'll see by then.

Man if only I had posted 6 more things in the boards or did a couple of more reviews I could have won Blue, oh well, in order to not go hogwild with the reviews I will have to type in as much as possible, wait til you hear what I have to say about Sonic 3

EX Palen : Even if you're not going to be fully going after points, there's so much of the month left, it shouldn't be too hard to casually just get 1 or 2 points a day without trying just by doing some staff stuff.

You keep getting 1 point in green a day just for doing 10 actions and that alone would get you 20-25% of the way to your goal.

zanderlex : Actually, it's not that easy. I'll be away from the site for at least 5 days, and even when at home I can't guarantee spending a lot of time here as precisely my staff duties require me to be offline, and also real life keeping me away.

I need an average of 4,6 points, so every single day I don't reach that I need to compensate it later on. And while I could go and do a bunch of ratings (screenshots, music or whatever) I'm not someone who would go after such an easy maneuver, I prefer to do my own thing and wherever that takes me will be fine.

Now that I've resigned myself to not winning I'm finally seeing what Ian told me a year ago tdv is most fun when you know your not going to win I didn't get it back then but now that I've accepted not going for rainbow and just doing what ever I feel like posting wise that day in time I'm having fun again I feel unpressured I'm loving it.

EX Palen : I'm probably the worst person to comment on this but I can see what you mean with green I don't think it's the most balanced jersey when we have options like that I'm glad your able to go for points by doing it your own way.

Kryptic : Wow, I haven't seen a post from you in a long time. Very cool to see you post, especially since I very clearly remember you being active 5 years ago . I see you on once in a while playing games but it's been a while since I've heard from you.

As SonicOlmstead said, everyone is automatically part of the competition and it requires no interaction from users to be part of it. Every contribution to the site earns you points toward this competition.

Managed to reach my average yesterday, which is nice. I won't have the weekend as free as I initially thought, so that's going to hamper my progress even more.

I'll focus on my staff stuff and try to save the day in any way I can. I'll come back a bit stronger tomorrow with on-site staff stuff to tackle and maybe I'll be able to compensate today's losses.

Can't think of anything interesting to say.

eh it's the weekend, everyone is going to be at home, of course I'm going to get my butt whipped in the jersey standings, least I'm still in third

I failed to reach my average yesterday, which clearly shows that I may need something more than my usual activity to clear my goals.

I'll try to see if I can make any push today or I finally decide to fully focus on my staff work and wave goodbye to pursuing anything this TdV. How I fare the next two or three days will determine what decision I end up taking.

I've really taken my foot off the gas the past few days and today continues to be more of that hopefully I can get some more points soon but I've been quite relaxed the past few days.
