Death... What a complex topic. On one hand, it is a meaningful and inevitable part of life which highlights our mortality and incentives us to do the best we can. On the other hand, it is something of a debilitating plague that haunts you almost every other day, for one reason or another, and severely limits your actions in light of it. That's just generalization, though. What do you think of death?

Death is the inevitable price we will all pay for having lived. We don't have to fear it, as it will come sooner or later (preferably later, of course), but we also can't pursue it or continue doing actions that can speed up its appearance.

I've been relatively close to death myself by different reasons: on purpose, accidentally and due to poor health. because of all this I'm now fully aware that I can meet my maker at any given time, so I try to live intensely and regret nothing about my brief stay in this world, always with a tidbit of common sense of course.

While I don't fear the reaper itself, I extremely fear the consequences of passing away at whatever time I do so. I can't properly explain it, but it's such an uneasy sensation that I don't dare to explore it. In fact, thinking on those consequences may have been the reason why I didn't kill myself when I was in the darkness. I feared I'd have to start again elsewhere, I feared where could I go for my new life... And my decision to stay has proven to be the right one, despite the hardships I've had to endure (not very hard compared to other people's, but still hard to me).

Summarizing, death will come to you when your time's up and you don't have to fear it. Try to live in such a way you will have no regrets when the fated day comes.

EX Palen : Thanks for the insight. I have my own plans going forward, and you've partially helped spur them on sooner.

We're all gonna die one day, I have accepted that fact. Even if it scares me I'll welcome it, until then I'll do what I like and live my life how i'd like.

If I'm being honest, I personally, just see death as something that's going to happen eventually, and until that time comes I'm going to make the best out of my life because that's the best I can do. Worrying about death really won't get anyone anywhere in life, at least I assume it wouldn't. (These are simply my opinions though, and I'm pretty sure people would disagree with this, and they have that right)

As we all know, Death is inevitable. Every human being leaves Earth eventually. My opinion on death?
I personally do not mind it. Do not get me wrong, I do not want to die now, but once I take my last breath, God knows when that time will come, I believe I'll end up in a much better place, a place so nicer that we cannot even compare our current world to it!
I believe I'll reunite with some of my loved ones who died, as well as meet new people! For the time being, I want to live my life as much as I can, pour it with peace, happiness and love as much as I can, and I want as well to minimize stress or any kind of negative energy as much as possible. I want to carry this out because anyone can die at any moment. Whether you are young, old, healthy, unhealthy...in the end, God decides when it is our time to go. That's what I believe at least!

I'm reminded of the old quote "Without death life is meaningless"

Death is what it is, and while what that is isn't precisely clear to us it still is that thing.

I don't really fear death but don't misunderstand, it's not because I'm so brave or bold or self destructive or anything like that. I just...don't think about it beyond simple physical preparations for it. The impending future that terrifies me comes before death. Reaching the point where my body is breaking down, my mind is slipping, and I can't take care of myself or fully understand what is happening around me. Now that scares me. Death? It's a thing I logically know happens and the source of occasional discussions or debates but...that's it. Least to me.

Death is a hard topic to really talk about cause it's so complicated in the way there's so many ways to view it I don't know where to begin. I've had some times where I felt rather close to death in the past where my sugar almost bottomed out which was not fun I was told if it ever got so low that my meter couldn't read it was a non chance I would be awake which then if no one found me I would die and I've never been as shocked as when I saw the meter say low as in it couldn't read my sugar and even after getting my sugar back up I was no where near full energy I would estimate I had like 20% of normal energy and strength. I've also had times where I was pretty depressed and believed I wanted to die but I was prevented on going through with it which it seems kinda silly to think about now cause my life expectancy is not good as a diabetic my number 1 cause of death is likely to be heart disease apparently and my family has a ton of heart issues in it's health history so I'm just kinda sitting here like fantastic. With all I said before tho I don't really fear death I don't really think about it that much right now choosing to rather live one day at a time instead of constantly counting down the time I have and just enjoying life.

When you die, you stop existing. There is nothing after death. I believe humans have a natural aversion to the idea of their sensory experience becoming nothing- a natural egocentricism.

However, as most of us do not die by being teleported to the center of the sun, the process of dying is more interesting.

I always avoid the topic of death for the most part. Everyone has their different interpretation and viewpoint of it but nothing will change the fact that it will happen to all of us. The only certainty of life is death, and the one curse you put on a baby is knowing that one day they too will pass away.

That being said, just because I'm aware of it and that it's inevitable, I'll fully admit I am scared of death. I don't live my life in fear of death, but I hate the topic and usually avoid it whenever possible. I think it's normal and healthy to have some level of fear or at least some aversion to death. We're blessed to be here, alive, interacting with each other and the world we share, and you shouldn't take that for granted. It's in our instinct to want to survive, it's part of what makes us animals at the end of the day, despite our (mostly) vastly superior intelligence.

But yeah, I don't like death. There are some nights where it might keep me up for a little while, and I am scared to fly airplanes for example. Nothing that changes my life in a major way, it just makes it a little rougher at times. The easiest solution I've found for times like those is to just stick with and talk to people around me. Family, friends, closer than that even. Or my dog! We're social creatures and we can all help each other through those rough spots, consciously or subconsciously.

Also as a kid and still now as a 'coping mechanism' I always like to think that afterlife is just watching a VHS tape of your life story back. Relive your experiences somehow.
