It's been two years already since this game released, but only now has it reached its peak to become the latest trend, at least where I live that is.

I learned about it a couple weeks ago, my girlfriend was very glued to it and told me it was lots of fun. Then, this past Saturday when hanging out with her friends we agreed on a local match between us, so I had to download it and quickly adapt to it to keep the team up.

I must say its lots of fun, and honestly I'm a bit too glued to it now. I'm kind of good at being a crewmate, very few times I get killed off before completing my missions, but as an impostor I still have many things to polish before actually winning by my own means.

What about you guys? Have you tried it? Are you hoping the sequel can be released soon? Should we host competitions there by meeting in the Discord channel?

I watched so many videos of people playing Among Us, I've even been looking up people that I've never seen before like Mr. Fruit. I haven't played it, since I wouldn't have anyone to play it, but I love it so much. It's just such a clever game.

I had no idea it was so old though, what made it jump like this?

Apparently it had something to do with the Henry Stickman collection being released, considering Innersloth had a hand in that. Plus, Among Us is rather cheap on PC and free on mobile, so it was easy for Youtubers and streamers to get their hands on, and the rest should be obvious.

I play it with some friends pretty frequently. I'm fantastic at imposter. I'm not amazing at actually being able to defend myself if I'm being suspected for obvious reasons, but I'm great at "hiding" bodies in the first place so that usually I've killed 3-4 people before anyone is discovered. I'm also pretty good at deducing as the crewmate, but I don't shine there since other friends have that skill as well.

My only gripe is that any lobbies below 6 are really lame, so having to get everyone at a good time can be pretty hard to do. And 99% of the time I won't play public since it's not as fun if I can't yell at my friends over stupid stuff, you know?

zanderlex : I think that what made it jump is, precisely, social media. Youtubers and influencers of any kind all over the world started playing it and showcasing it on their profiles, and that lit up the fuse for pretty much the rest of the population to discover it and play it until total extenuation lol

Minuano : I suck at being an impostor, I win more because the reactor explodes or oxygen runs out rather than because the impostor(s) killed the rest of the crewmates. As a crewmate I'm great at missions, but I rarely manage to spot anything happening to the rest of the group due to being so focused in completing my part of the job.

I've been playing on public and it can be horrible at times. The settings people make, players who jump to conclusions way too quickly... Not to mention when you enter a match with some members actually playing local, they team up against you so easily that it kills the fun. Kind of reminds me why I stopped playing online, but this time it's just people being a**h***s and sore losers or both at the same time instead of taking advantage of broken features or excessively cheap tricks.

I'm not too familiar with this game, but you've convinced me to try it. I'll update this review later with an opinion. I honestly had no clue this was trending.

I've tried it. This is just Mafia, which means it's automatically good. I'm not gonna knock it. In my first game, we found the imposter immediately, it was hilarious.

Among Us was pretty fun when I was playing it with some friends we didn't really play using the traditional mute while playing rule we just kinda worked together to screw everyone over cause that's how we had the most fun playing.
