Well, It's been 8 months since my last post (https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=102345) I decided to quit Vizzed for a while due to my life spiraling out of control. As said in my last post, I lost my great aunt on October of last year. When that happened, i completely lost it. My anxiety was through the roof, i was depressed as hell, Very lonely, couldn't sleep, and was threatening to kill myself. 2017 to 2019 have become the worst years of my entire life. As of 2020 its starting to turn around. The beginning of this year, i decided to see a psychologist which prescribed me anti anxiety medication. Since then, this medication has changed me tremendously. I no longer have panic attacks or anxiety, I don't feel as depressed as I was, and I feel so much happier. Even though i am still saddened with the passing of my great aunt, I know that she is in a better place and no longer suffering. While 2020 as a year has been very bad for tons of other people with the BLM protests, police violence, and the COVID-19 pandemic, for me its so much better than it was the past few years. So what have I been doing for the past 8 Months? Well I've started Collecting PS1 games the beginning of this year and so far have 24 games as of this post. I also want to start collecting games from other systems such as Nintendo DS, Atari 2600, 7800, and hopefully SNES. At this point I'm mainly focused with PS1. I also want to start making my own small virtual pinball machine, but I'm still researching it and nowhere near the process of building. I am currently out of work because of the pandemic but fortunately still getting paid. I just wanted to make this post to say that I am still here and more productive then ever. I'll try to be more active on here since I've cooped up in my house since April lol.

Welcome back to the site as someone who has been through their own share of issues I'm glad to see you able to make progress as a person and hope that continues to go well. While I would probably never game collect myself it's always neat to see someone who can have all the rare games for a system so I wish you luck with that.

Hey man. I'm glad you got the help you needed from a psychologist. Medicine for mental illnesses is seriously life-changing, as I've seen for several of my friends in past years. Hearing that you've had a major turn around put a smile on my face, even if we're just strangers speaking over two screens.

I hope you continue to be excellent, and may your video game collection grow ever larger.

Welcome back to vizzed! Mental illness is always very hard to deal with. I'm so glad that the medication has been helpful for you. I know many people who are struggling with their mental health this year, and some of them take medication to help with that. There's nothing wrong with having to get professional help with mental health regardless of people's gender, background, personality, etc. I can say the same specifically about loss. If medication is needed, it's a good choice.

Thank goodness your year this year has been better! I can't say the same but I have had a lot of really good moments this year, and my extended time at home has been refreshing. I hope you get your job back soon, but since you're being paid, hopefully that won't be a concern. I'm praying for you as you continue to get better and overcome the past!
