Currently playing Trails of Cold Steel. Liking hte game so far probably going to get the whole series and casually play through it which might take a while considering i think the 4th game in the series is due to come out at some point.

Trails of cold steel basically almost has the same combat system as games like Tales and Star Ocean except for the fact it's turn based and unlike the games i mentioned. I'm not sure if this continues throughout the whole series but i guess i'll find out at some point regardless.

Honestly speaking it's been nice to chill and just play a game without trying to solely go for trophies. It's a nice relaxing approach which is made fun because i'm actually enjoying the game for sure.

Anyone else have experience with the franchise?

I still plan on buying the game as I am into JRPG games I am slowly making my way there. the other day my brother called in to say how persona 5 royal is so good. I havent gotten into the franchise because you have to make choices and stuff. which I feel I am not good at. but I still plan on playing a lot of rpg and JRPG games

I love the Trails of Cold Steel series. It actually got me into the rest of the Legend of Heroes games.

I've finished the first three (Trails in the Sky through Trails in the Sky the 3rd) on Steam, and the first three Trails of Cold Steel games. I already preordered Trails of Cold Steel 4.

If you plan to play through the entire series, I highly recommend picking up the earlier games on Steam and playing those as well. They are a bit more grindy early on, but you can probably just plow through on easy mode without any concern if you are worried about time.

The cool thing is, they all connect. Events in Trails in the Sky actually connect to events in Trails of Cold Steel. They are also coming out with the Crossbell Arc of games (which were previously Japan only).

So far, I'm really liking the 3rd one. I picked up the game for the Switch a couple weeks ago. I regionally pre ordered it in like February but when Gamestops closed down due to the virus I cancelled all my pre orders in case that location never reopened (it didn't).

I'm really enjoying it and I already got approved for a review copy of the 4th game, so I'm also really excited about that but I'm still nowhere near finishing the 3rd.
