Hey you all, been over a few months now since I last had been active (Or maybe a month, idk time is hard to keep track of now and days.) and been really wanting to just say I'm fine and okay, I am more active on my Twitter so please if you are concerned about me ever just check up on there.

So why haven't I been talking here much? Well... a lot of the world's... kinda gone to hell. I needed a break from being super active on sites like here and I even need a break from Twitter time to time, only really ever feeling the need to check up on Discord every so often too.

I've been sweating like a volcano and oh my god has it been atrocious having no air conditioning. I luckily should be getting one soon but regardless, I'm sorry for not being too active here. I thought the Bomberman Tournament would of helped me become more active but in return I felt burned out cause it was too much work to really uphold.

Will I be returning here again to be more active? Hopefully so, after the Summer at least I feel like would be the right time. If not, then I might just need a bit of a longer break. The heat has driven me practically insane and I don't know how I lasted this long tbh.

Eventually things will be back to normal, and I hope to be around more when that comes.

Well, "normal" is hard to define. If by normal, you mean not so hot? Yeah, I guess that's a given. But the pandemic and protests are something that will certainly leave a lasting impact whether someone likes it or not.

I do jive with the extreme heat portion of your post, it gets around 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my room at night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. I've also been super busy and drained.

It's nice to see you may be making somewhat of a return, people are often in and out of here, the more of us that are active at once, the more staying power this place has. Though hey, if you can maintain activity on Twitter of all places, Vizzed should be a cakewalk in reality.

pennylessz : I specifically mean in my own life as it really hasn't been that great. Outside of things that aren't in my control there's just also a lot of anxiety and emotions that just built up over the course of a year and I needed to take a break once I saw Cops pretty much beating and terrorizing people online. I can usually handle that kind of s*** but man did it ever make me worry for my friends.

On top of that, I've been working to get my anxiety problems fixed and hoping to find a new job. Regardless or not that will still take time but I want to try my best to work out the issues before I go back into things.

Tbh Vizzed probably is a lot easier to get around but Twitter is just way easier for me because it's way more natural and where I can most easily interact with people. It helps a lot and at times I'm glad I have a social platform to speak on, but also at times it can be really rough due to other toxic happenings within that space.

Vizzed while being a generally nicer community comes with the cost of it not being as big as it used to sadly. It's typically just more of a personal preference thing really in the end. Having 2 sites to talk on is a lot harder for me then just having the one.

sonicmcmuffin : My Red hair basically cursed me to forever be absolutely wrecked with heat and sunlight in general. I've gotten so many sunburns in my life at this point that I thought I got used to it but I sure was wrong about that. Honestly this was my worst year yet, I've been sleeping so much that it's not even funny.

It's great that you took time away from these sites. I think people are having a tough time not getting weighed down by any kind of social site/platform at this point.

I understand the struggle with anxiety. I've been navigating that for years. It was getting better until the Covid crisis hit hard. :/ I hope and pray that the anxiety and job situations will be at least close to resolved soon.

Pacman+Mariofan : Absolutely, I'm glad things are getting pushed and we're working to make things better for the future, we needed this for so long and now we finally can, but it really doesn't help me feel better seeing how wrong the world can be. It's an absolute nightmare and so terrible to deal with mentally. I'm at least doing better now then I was a month ago and taking time off really helped me delve into my own disabilities and trying to fix things.

Slyshiyoshi : Me too! It's about time these changes are happening. But I agree that it's horrible to see how messed up things can be before they're changed.

Having more time alone has helped me dive into things I needed to think about too. Thankfully, story writing has helped me get some of those things out.

Man... I read the thread title and immediately realized it's *only* July. The very beginning of it, in fact. You're damn right it's been a long summer...

I can definitely relate to the sweating, though I'm sympathetic about your lack of air conditioning. That can definitely be rough around this time of year. Do you live somewhere that gets really hot?

Regardless, I hope your motivation springs back soon. It's always tough being burned out, even for menial things like Vizzed.

I feel this on so many levels.
I just moved across the country and got a job delivering pizza while I look for that college graduate job, and my A/C in my car went out just before I started. It's going to cost $1,450 to fix ( the labor costs are super high out here )
Then, because of graduating college, moving across the country, staritng a new job, and with Corona starting while I was in India on my Spring Break, it has felt like eternity since all of this started.

I've stuck around Vizzed for as long as I have because I've been here since my high school days. I guess it's a matter of "Why leave entirely? I've been here for so long already." So I get where you are coming from on that front, too.

Minuano : I wouldn't say it gets *too* hot honestly, in the Mid 90's at the very most, but I have very sensitive skin so it tends to really bog down me when I need to do stuff. My activity solely depends on how well I'm feeling so I wouldn't say it's been too great. I've been trying my hardest to fix things so that I can have a better drive towards this community, I really want to see it grow again.

thing1 : Whew, hearing that you have to pay that much for an A/C repair kind of just destroyed me. I still have to pay 1.8k towards my College since I have yet to pay it off and I haven't had the best luck doing it. Covid's been making it hard for everyone on top of other things so eventually hoping that everyone actually knows this and wears their Damn masks lmao

As for Vizzed, I made this account because I did originally have an older account and got pretty nostalgic to return back to this place because I wanted to see how everything's been, though to be honest it tends to be pretty dry when it used to be pretty active back in the early 2010's. I still love the small community but it feels like something's been missing ever since I returned.

Yeah... even though my college was entirely paid for, I took most of the subsidized and unsubidized loans to help pay bills, and so I could have spending money / money to prepare for the future. Sucks that I have no had to pay it off, but at least it will help with my credit.
