So 2020 has been a very dry and unpredictable year for Nintendo as well as other game companies in terms of news and information concerning new and upcoming games for obvious reasons.

According to several sources, it looks like Nintendo won't be hosting a Nintendo Direct for June due to complications brought by working from home. Traditionally, Japan places great importance on conducting business and making important decisions with face-to-face meetings. This is ingrained in their culture and can't be undone in just a few weeks. With all of these sudden changes, understandably, they don't feel like they can provide a direct with the same level of quality like normal without face-to-face interaction and access to a studio. Sources suggest that there's a good chance we won't see a direct until the end of Summer or possibly even later.

Nintendo originally planned to celebrate Mario's 35th Anniversary with ports of classic 3D Mario games including Super Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario 3D world.

Personally, in keeping with the ports and remasters, I'd love to see Twilight Princess, Windwaker, and Skyward Sword make their way to the Switch sometime soon. I'm in no rush, so long as they do migrate from the dead Wii U to the Switch sometime in the near future. I'd be very satisfied with that.

That said, what predictions or wishes do you guys have for the next direct? What would you like to see?

SacredShadow : I'm not really a nintendo fan but it'd be nice to hear what they're doing with the titles that have lay dormant for a while.

For me personally it'd be nice to have an actual reason to buy a switch. I don't want to buy a console to just play one or two games on it.

i wish final fantasy 7 remake come out fast to the switch because the virus it won't come out into next year. i do think xenoblade chronicles 2 torna - the golden country is good and animal crossing new horizons is good too. xenoblade 2 9/10

I don't know if they would bring Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Switch, at least not anytime soon. There is the fact that it is a large game (over 100 GB in size), so it would be a challenge, but not completely out of the realm of possibility since they did manage to get Skyrim and Witcher 3 on Switch. If anything, I'd expect to see it come to the Xbox One long before it makes it to Switch.

SacredShadow : i heard about it and it going xbox 1 as well. not xbox series x and i know that their are making for all 3 systems

I mean, I've been satisfied for awhile due to PMD DX, that announcement made my jaw theoretically dislocate. Not sure what could top that for me.

I'd like to see some more new games. But nostalgia also really makes me want to see a bunch of older Mario games go on the Switch!

sonicmcmuffin : Same here. The games I wanted to play on the Switch came out a long time ago. And one of them is just a port of Mario Kart 8. :/

cid789 : I hope another Mario Kart game will come out in the next couple years! I'm not interested in playing Mario Kart Tour on my phone. I like playing Mario Kart on a controller!
