After great discussion, I thought it would be a good idea to extend National Posting Day into a monthly event. The first Saturday of the year will be the big event, but on the first Saturday of each month there will be a smaller competition where the user with the most posts that day wins up to 25,000 Viz.

When we talked about bringing back the VCS we didn't ask for just one day worth

I think it can work out. Both in January and July it has almost guaranteed its success, but it'd be nice to at least offer incentives like a competition for the other, less-active months.

February starts on a Saturday, so maybe people will take it as an extra day for TdV with no jerseys offered. From there on, I don't know how good will this idea fare, but giving it a try won't hurt anybody.

I'd be open to sponsor prizes if in need of cash, and if I'm available at all, I'd be in for participating to the best of my capabilities.

I'm still working through how I'm going to go about it, but I may start in Feburary or March. Probably a large sum of Viz for prizes. Not that these competitions can't coincide, however; we can always have your Saturday Posting Spree as a bonus to the VCS. Just make sure that you yourself can keep up in terms of Viz.

Minuano : You don't think February or March would be too close to the previous TDV? I would think there would still be some momentum left so the time that we'd really need the activity boost would be long after the TDV ended, like in April where the old TDV used to be.
