The 2010's had a lot of great TV shows, just so many that were good or stellar for a number of reasons.

What are some of your favorites?

My list includes

Stranger Things
Gravity Falls
Regular Show
The Amazing World of Gumball
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Trollhunters
She-ra
The Dragon Prince
Disenchantment
Carmen Sandiego
Bojack Horseman
Rick and Morty
Game of Thrones
Final Space
Bobs Burgers

Let's hope that the 20s can keep up.

Most of my favourite shows (mostly anime) have come out during this time and some that are still ongoing even now and I look forward to seeing their conclusions. If I listed all of them I feel like I would be here all day but some examples would include:
- Rozen Maiden 2013
- My Hero Academia
- Steven Universe
- Persona 4: The Animation
- Date a live
- Fairy Tail
- Puella Madoka Magica
- Steins;Gate
- Attack on titan
- Anohana
- Kill la kill
- Angel Beats
- Big Bang Theory
- Danmachi
- Bob's burgers
- I'm a celeb get me out of here
etc.

I don't really watch TV shows all that often. I'm also not sure if TV shows that started before this past decade but continued into it count for this.

There was this one TV show about a national celebrity (though B list at best) who decided to take like 10 people with Down Syndrome under his wing and together they made a road trip through Europe. They started here in Belgium, and I don't exactly remember all the places they went to but it was a fairly long trip.

It was a cultural phenomenon over here and vastly talked about on talk shows, news channels and magazines. I'm normally never a sucker for that kind of stuff but something about this show kind of intrigued me. Probably the fact that one of the 10 downies (they called themselves that) is a good family friend and we still see her and her parents frequently. I had heard that she was going to be on some kind of TV show but I didn't put two and two together until I saw an advertisement for the show before it started running.

I don't think it was the concept or the celebrity that really pulled in so many viewers. I mean yeah it was well advertised and hyped up but upon watching the premier episode it was clear that the reason this was going to be a success was because of who they cast. I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but people with Down Syndrome are just a lot simpler than normal humans. They speak their mind, say it how it is and are unafraid to show emotions. Throughout the show that was highlighted plenty of times. They didn't edit them to be characters on a TV show, they were just portrayed to the audience as who they really are. We saw many funny interactions between the downies, the host, and even random strangers they met. We saw some raw and emotional moments when someone got homesick or talked about their experiences in life. It was very touching to see the bond between the cast and the host grow over this whole experiment. Some of the cast fell in love and you saw how these people handle romantic feelings, and it was just pure and honest.

It was a huge success and they have since released a season 2, with season 3 in the making. I think they went to Africa in season 2, but to be honest it just wasn't on par with season 1. The funny and emotional moments were still there but the magic was kind of lost for me. It's like they focused more on outdoing season 1 rather than letting things play their course.

Aside from that show I've also loved falling back in love with Survivor. I've seen nearly every season, just missing a few classics that I'm going back to this offseason. I was never a reality TV kind of guy but Survivor somehow has that magic that just keeps me entertained. I do think Survivor's golden era has already passed but I'm still excited for next season, featuring all winners as the cast.

There's some cartoons and stuff I'd love to give shoutouts to as well but I can't really name all of them on top of my head. Lots of Nickelodeon early on this decade.

I would say though that my overall favourite show of the decade if I had to pick only one, would probably be my hero academia. It is really popular among many people and communities for a very good reason and I am happy to have been able to see it grow so much during the decade!

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Master of None
Nathan For You (please watch this show its so awkward and ingenious)

None, actually. Every show this decade was below-average at best and inhumanely irredeemable and abysmal at worst.

In particular, the ones I hated most were The Amazing World of Gumball, Hannibal, and Game of Thrones.

There's hundreds I might be forgetting, but honestly, I'm a video game guy. TV doesn't matter much to me outside pre-2010s family cartoons.

The only show that came out in the 2010's that I have always enjoyed is Milo Murphy's Law. I appreciate that Al Yankovic is the voice actor for the main character! I also really enjoyed the plots of the episodes.
