It's an age old question. Is he cute, is he funny, is he cool? We just don't know for sure. He has an entire decent mobile game dedicated to him, yet he's just a red fish.

Are you a fan? I personally think he looks silly, and have loved him ever since that episode of Pokémon where James accidentally trades his Pokémon for one, then it ends up demolishing them as a Garados.

I only like Magikarp because it can evolve to Gyrados. Usually if I already have a Gyrados in a game, I'll never catch a Magikarp again unless shiny of course. Other than that I do like them in the anime and I have enjoyed the Magikarp jump game to an extent but haven't played in so long.

Sometimes I will level a Magikarp to level 100 in a game and not evolve it. Then I would wonder trade/surprise trade it to someone. Good times.

I enjoy Magikarp yeah, unless an enemy trainer has one. It feels like the biggest waste of time when they give you the lowest amount of EXP for any Pokemon, and they're actually tanky enough to live one or two tackles or something during the beginning of the game if you don't have a grass move. I always hate accidentally running into the guy with 6 Magikarp that the evil bastards at Game Freak put in every game.

I don't mind magikarp, the fact that it evolves into gyarados does help although leveling it can be a pain sometimes but the worst is when theres like a fisherman with 5 of them and they give you the worst experience imaginable while also none of them are high enough level to even know tackle.

I despise this stupid fish for one singular reason, I use to be okay with it but that all changed when the fire nation attacked when I heard the Magikarp song. I don't know what it is about that song but it annoys me so much and makes me despise the Pokemon, worst of all it always gets stuck in my head. xD

You know, before the song I didnt think much of Magikarp. But honestly, now I really like magikarp. And Gyrodos is pretty powerful too. Although I have yet to use it on a team.
