Has anyone been watching the new pokemon anime? So far not a ton's happened but so far I gotta say it's great! I really love the idea of all the regions just casually getting episodes like on this week's episode Ash was like yo lets go to Hoenn and it was pretty cool. I'm really on the fence about the new character Go so far tho he makes me okay with him one minute, then the next he makes me hate him. I really am curious how they will go with this anime and part of me questions if someday in the future Go will replace Ash.

I actully am for once. I am an oldschool pokemon fan so I stopped at season 8 or 9 when I didnt see the sense of watching it anymore....to me it seems they have forgotten ashs goal in the anime and it took a long time before he won a league *Slowly Claps* took a long time huh? I never watched the episode but it was all over youtube. I didnt have that joy within me to celebrate because of how late they have done it. so...they spoke about the new anime I was actully quite intrested to watch it and boy am I enjoying it. I decided to watch the sub because watching the dub would annoy me I wouldnt enjoy it as I once did back in the 90s and 2000 btw varonica talyor for me is the true Ash voice and I didnt like how they replaced her for no reason. after they replaced her I was skeptcal of the new one I decided to give her a chance and soon I got used to it. I only watched a couple of more seasons after that then stopped because the plot wasnt there before as it once was. I guess watching the new one gives me hope? I am actully enjoying it and my friend it has been years since I last said that. Ashs appearnce is a lot more better but my only consern is the hair...I guess I am just used to his old spiky hair that suited him back in the day. I know I am speaking back in the day and I should just accept whats happening now its not easy to say once I oversee something in my own way. right now I believe I am on episode 4 or 5. I forgot the new guys name I think it was Go? well hes quite a hanful and a funny guy him and Ash are very good compainions. I dunno what they are planning to achieve with this new pokemon season lets hope it stays as it is in a good way. the last thing you need is more derailment.

Hold up, Ash is just traveling between continents on a whim now? That sounds absolutely ridiculous, he's gonna be broke soon. Also, if Ash were replaced by anyone, it should be a game protagonist, and that's not going to happen. This Anime has went on for twenty one years, it's there to sell merchandise, they won't change Mr. Krabs' formula for anything.

Eniitan : I mean Ash did take forever to win a league but I stopped watching mostly cause I only saw it on tv and then a few years ago I went back and watched everything I always have kinda looked up to ash in some weird way cause of his upbeat personality and such but I was hyped to see Ash win a league finally after all these years. I loved growing up with Veronica Taylor as Ash and I always hated the new voice cast but I have learned to love the Japanese voice cast. I can agree Ash looks pretty good in this series tho every time I see his outfit I think he looks like a fishermen with Leon's shoes and because of sun and moon I got use to Ash's hair being less spiky tho it was really odd at first.

pennylessz : Yep for example in the last episode that aired he went to Hoenn and next episode he's going to Sinnoh and only a few episodes ago he went to Galar.

SonicOlmstead : I dunno how I dunno why..but somehow the new pokemon reeled me in to watch it. maybe its because how they are displaying it now its like watching the old school but with a different plot. and I am somehow enjoying this it will take me time to get used to the animation because I just got back into pokemon anime. this one encourged me somehow....not like the other previous bad seasons.

I haven't watched it but that concept sounds great. Now all I want is for Nintendo to implement that into the games.

Nope. Pretty much just you watching it. I would join you but yaknow. Real life is an existing thing. I dont really know if I would watch it or not considering I know they seem like its pushing Go a bit and the fact that the second main is called Go. Like Go. A Character name. Why. Although I do like that it kinda starts in a past region is kinda going on from that so ill give it props.

I've always hated the Pokémon anime with an incinerating passion. The funny thing is it somehow gets progressively worse as it continues forth. It's funny you bring up Ash's newer design, as ever since Gen. 5 he looks hideous, and in Gen 7 and Gen. 8 he literally looks deformed.

The plots are always bad, I hate seeing Ash and that damned Pikachu all the time doing a freaking world tour, and I seeing hate those pedophile crooks Team Rocket even more and their half-baked "plans". They just keep bringing the same Kanto s*** forward to every region. It just sucks!

I've yet to, largely because I stopped watching Pokemon after Gen 3. I want to get back into it, and have marathoned through the end of the Orange Islands on the Pokemon.com website... but they lock most of their seasons behind a seasonal wall. I want to watch Johto, Hoenn, etc, but they are only showing one of the regions right now.

I was thinking about this earlier this week because I've been seeing a lot of promotional material for "season 2" on Netflix and I have to say that I'm not a fan of this version of Ash. Dude acted like he never saw a Snorlax before early on.
