I'll be honest, I had to look up which one that was. Too many pokemon. I'll give it a 6/10 because of the art direction, it is a neat looking one, I'll give it that.

Next is Bayleef.

0/10. Horrible starter evolution line Pokémon ever made, horrible Pokémon overall. Magikarp is more reliable than that weed of a Pokémon

Speaking of which, magikarp is next

I rate Magikarp a 3/10 only because I know it has massive potential if you can bear with how pathetic and feeble it is for a few levels. Outside of that, it doesn't have anything really going for it.

The next pokemon to rate is Durant.

I rate durant a 7/10.

It's shockingly fast for a steel type and with hustle and its big attack stat it will hit you really hard. Only having one weakness is always a plus as well. I know it's a fairly popular Pokemon in gen 8 competitive. Not sure if that's because the better alternatives aren't in the game but good for durant!

Next up is Girafarig

Girafarig is the definition of mediocre in terms of its stats and offensive presence. Its highest stat is 90 in special attack, but is difficult to utilize with its lackluster speed of 85 and middling bulk. There are plenty of psychic types like Alakazam, Musharna, Alolan Raichu, and Reuniclus that you could use on your team instead. Aside from a somewhat interesting design, Girafarig really just doesn't stand out to me in any way.

I rate Girafarig a 3/10.

The next pokemon to rate is Excavalier.

Things pretty cool, used it on a team in the Battle Subway way back in Gen 5 and it served me well. The Design is a bit wierd but it's typing is very good even if fire absolutely bodies it.

Now how about Absol?

For me, Absol is one of those pokemon that looks really cool, but I wish was better stat wise and for battling. Outside of its monstrous 130 base attack which ties with the likes of Garchomp and Scizor, all of its other stats are very average. It's too slow to take advantage of its attack with only base 75 speed and too fragile for it to last long in battle with unexceptional 65/60/60 bulk.

Overall, it's a pokemon that I'd give a 9/10 based only on appearance and lore, but I have to give it a 6/10 taking everything else into account.

The next pokemon to rate is Sylveon.

I really like the Slyveons design but not everything else. Not a fan of the type or the moves. 7/10.

Next Pokemon to rate is Goomy.

Goomy was a really unfunny meme... and is an unevolved form of an actually better Pokemon. I get liking the design, at least. 4/10

Next to rate is Steelix.

So I'm not too big of a fun of many of the Steel-types that are out there, but I definitely like the concept of Steelix not just because I like the fact that Onix got some love, but he looks just like a giant hammerhead shark in a way. Other than that he's still easy to OHKO and his stats are too crazy.

Next pokemon for rating is the one and only Klefki

Klefki is a very unique Pokemon. Design wise I mean let's face it, it belongs in the depths of trash and hell. It's a set of car keys. However there's more to Klefki that meets the eye. For one it has one of the best typings in the game with Steel/Fairy. It completely neutralizes Dragons and Steel gives it a lot of resistances it needed, only being weak to Fire and Ground. Other Pokemon with this typing like Mega Mawile have done insanely well for themselves because of it.

Next Klefki has a very unique ability. Prankster gives it priority to every status move it learns. This means that it will outspeed a Deoxys-Speed by simply clicking Reflect. Usually Pokemon with this ability can make good use of it and can often pull off a gimmick in the competitive scene. Klefki might be among the best Pokemon in the prankster category. It gets dual screens, it gets entry hazards in the form of spikes and it gets thunder wave as well to cripple opponents. Then there's also the classic set of Swagger-Foul Play. Swagger of course confusing the opponent while also raising their Attack by two stages. If they hit themselves they take massive damage at the risk of hitting back hard in return. Klefki further exposes this trick by using Foul Play, a move that deals 95 base damage using the opponents base attack, not your own. So that +2 from swagger suddenly doubles the power of this move.

Probably one of the best examples of not judging a pokemon by its appearance. Sure, it won't sweep teams like pokemon like Garchomp, at least not in the same way. It might RNG them to death if you're lucky. But any time Klefki shows up you have to be prepared to deal with its antics.

Next up to rate is Crawdaunt

Crawdaunt is pretty cool. I've always liked it a bit more than Klingler at least. Water/Dark typing is nice and adaptability with crabhammer, aqua jet, and crunch can be very deadly. My major complaints with Crawdaunt is that it's too slow and not bulky enough in HP or special defense. With only 63 and 55 respectively, it will go down pretty easily without a lot of setting up. Design wise, I really like the color scheme and the star on top of its head. It's pretty intimidating looking.

Even with its shortcomings, I still rate a solid 7.5/10.

Next pokemon to rate is Hippowdon.

Hippowdon? I'm not exactly the most detailed rater as I'm a pretty casual Pokemon player... most of my knowledge on Hippowdon is from the Elite 4 member in DPPT. Forgot what her name was. Anyway, I found it really annoying, and yet when I owned one for myself I never found it particularly useful (though I'm sure I just used it wrong). 6/10.

The next Pokemon to rate is Mareanie.

for me, i rate Lucario above me it is very close to it now i am about 3 points off now. mewtwo is 10 points off.

Mareanie is interesting. Design wise it's pretty cute for a Poison type which sets it apart somewhat. It is the baby form of one of the best walls in the metagame and as such carries some of those genes with it. That said with its overall low stats it won't be doing anything of note as it gets outclassed by its evolution in almost every single way.

I assume it to be quite usefull in Little Cup however, a tier with only base stage Pokemon all set to level 5. Eviolite alongside its good defenses there makes it a great wall. The regenerator ability allowing it to heal itself upon switching is also usefull for a wall.

Overall though that's talking about Little Cup, a tier designed to give these Pokemon some spotlight. Still rate Mareanie about a 3/10 because it does earn cuteness points

Next pokemon to rate will be Ursaring

I like Ursaring's design but too grumpy most of the time.

With the edition of Grassy Surge ability, Grookey can finally be respected as a real starter Pokémon

I haven't grown too much to like Regidrago yet, not a big fan of the newer ones anyway and haven't had any major experiences with it yet so I'm not a big fan right now so I'll go with a 7/10.

The next Pokemon to rate is Pidgeot.

Pidgeot like the rest of it's evolutionary line is one of the more generic Pokemon out there, plus it's not even that good in battle. Dodrio was always the superior bird in gen 1, and even that one's been outclassed so often over the years. Overall Pidgeot at this point is just there, a number. Nothing more, nothing less. I give it a 5/10.

The next pokemon to rate is Regieleki.

Regieleki is an interesting Pokemon to suddenly start existing after all this time I'm not really crazy about it's design but for a regi electric type it's about all you could do with it in my opinion, what I really don't get about it is why people were flipping out about it for VGC I've beaten the 2 I've faced since it came out in the only 2 VGC matches I've played since the DLC came out so maybe it's not being flipped out about anymore or the people I faced were bad hard to say. I'll rate it a solid 6.5/10
