Have you seen Suicide Squad? It's that movie about a suicidal Joker and a suicidal Harley Quinn and whatever. Or something lile that. The movie has lots of great qualities. Its got great humor and some amazing visuals, but so many plot holes and issues as well.

Why wers they rescuing the head of the department (Waller) in the locked building? There's so many things wrong with this scene. It makes it look like it was just a training exercise. Even if they were in any real damage couldn't they hsve just called for a helicopter, walked out of the room, and left?

Who shot down their plane? When the gang is going to rescue Waller, we see bullets coming after them and then they get shot down. At first I thought it was the plane that was travelling with them, like it was hijacked. But no, they were good people too. There were no bad guys in the entire city either, so who did it?

Where is Batman? We see Batman a bit with Deadshot. We see him chasing after Joke and arresting Harley. We even see him talking to Waller after the events. So apparently he was really close by. Was he too busy searching for meta humans to help fight a future end of the world event to help meta humans stop a current end of the world event?

Rick Flag and June Moone (Enchantress) were at home. She turns into the witch a d goes to free her brother at a train station and then returns back home. But later we learn that Flag and the witch were both at the train station while it was happening. Physics much?

As Waller was being evacuated, the plane literally fired hundreds of flares around the city as they were doing a nosedive and then were attacked. Common sense much?

All this just made the movie unbearable to watch. Half the time I was wondering how easy it would have been if the characters had common sense. The other half I was wondering how these people can be in 5 places at once.

I agree with you, the movie wasn't that great. I'm not a fan of superhero movies in general, but Suicide Squad was significantly worse than movies like Iron Man and The Avengers. It did have a pretty solid soundtrack though.

tgags123 : True, the soundtrack was amazing. The original songs and even the remade ones were great. I'm a Twenty One Pilots fan so I was excited to know that they had a song in the movie.

The movie was bad primarily because they just simply tried to fit way too much into one movie, and subsequently couldn’t carry out every storyline they opened, leaving tons of holes.

And I agree with the soundtrack, it was pretty outstanding, one of my favorites.

Barathemos : Yeah. They tried to fit so much and yet there was a ton of stuff that they left out or missed. Like when Jokers plane crashed they didn't give a single hint that he survived and then at the end of the movie he's back.

I remember seeing it for the first time a couple of months ago, and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not as big on DC as I am with Marvel, but I didn't feel like it measured up at all. As others have pointed out, there were a lot of plot holes and dropped stories and the movie, just leaving it a convoluted mess that couldn't carry out and resolve every storyline they established. I also felt that the villains weren't very interesting. They seemed very one dimensional and dull to me. They almost felt like they were appetizers for a bigger, badder villain instead. Finally, I felt that there was too much exposition and backstory in it for an action movie and I definitely think that affected the movie's pacing. Just my thoughts on it.

SacredShadow : The thing I hate about DC is that they rarely try anything before feeding it to us like Marvel. They didn't give us any standalone movies for any of the suicide squad characters. They just throw them in a room together and are like "we'll burn that bridge when we get there."

It was the same with Justice League. They had 2 movies with Superman, 1 with Batman, 1 with Wonder Woman, and none with Aquaman, The Flash, or Cyborg. But they call it a day and throw them all together and it didn't work.

You look at Marvel and Everybody had their origin stories and other stories laid out in front of us before they started teaming up. We knew what we were getting when the team ups were coming. DC wanted to go their own way and it killed them.

I haven't seen it, but the reasons are numerous from what I've heard, ranging from terrible writing to poor representations of characters (Harley Quinn in particular), and special effects and costumes that fail to impress for a big-budget film like this. From the one major review I watched, Boomerang Man was the best character, which is a huge accomplishment when you've got the Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and a bunch of other characters that are interesting in any other film.

I'm ignoring everyone else's posts to just give my opinion about it.

I really enjoyed the movie until about halfway through when the trained soldiers with guns were being slaughtered but a smaller group of random "mutant villains" were basically untouchable. Plus, they were up against a godlike enemy and managed to win when none of them had a remotely comparable set of powers.

Also, don't advertise the Joker and then cut him out of half the movie.... trying to put too many characters into 1 movie! I like his Joker portrayal but we didn't get much of it. DC tried to put a group together before anyone cared about the characters.

geeogree : It's like what they did with Wonder Woman. They only gave her a few minutes in Batman V Superman and then they gave her her own movie. They gave Joker a few minutes and now he's getting his own movie.

How did he even survive?

I dunno... I enjoyed the movie overall but I did have issues with it that made it a 1 watch only movie for me. I tend to dislike a movie where either the hero or the villain is so overpowered that no one should be able to win.
