Share som trivia about where you live. It doesn't have to be revealing if you'd just assume keep where you live private, just some random trivia.

I recently discovered that the main port and town of Easter Island, Hanga Roa, has a higher population than my town in rural Tennessee. The whole Island has a population of a little over 3,000 people, which something like 87% of them living in Hanga Roa.

I just found out the Sun Sphere, a popular landmark located in my city, had a restraunt up there that I had always wanted to go to one day, but it got shut down. Now I am sad. Nice thread idea by the way I really like it.

My city is very well known for exploding. Last decade an entire block blew up because a steam pipe underneath it exploded and less than a week ago a power plant exploded.

Those were the big ones but in between there have been a few pipe explosions and transformer explosions every year here.

A few weeks ago my high school (which I graduated from 2 years ago) was made fun of on Jimmy Kimmel because they put a limit on the amount of ketchup that students are allowed to eat at lunch. Instead of the ketchup pumps they now have packets, and I believe each student is only allowed one or two packets per day. They claim it's for health reasons.

Side note: What makes it even funnier is that while administration was spending all of their time declaring war on ketchup, the pipes in the ceiling burst in three different places, causing the ceiling tiles to fall and the hallways to flood with green water. So yeah, my high school is kind of a mess.

It's more of a fun fact about my high school than my town I suppose, but my school will now be remembered as the school that got made fun of by Jimmy Kimmel for limiting ketchup.
