There are so many diets out there right now. Keto, Paleo, Atkins, Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc. Some have some evidence behind them, like the Paleo diet, some are not really diets as much as they are ethical lifestyles, like Veganism, and some are simply what is popular or medically necessary, like the Gluten-Free diets.

Are you on any on any of them? Why did you decide to pursue it? Have you seen any results?

Lets see... I wouldn’t consider this as a “diet” per say but it’s effective. I do like a macro nutrition plan and intermittent fasting since I’ve been working out for a year now since my motivation has been up and going. With the plan instead of focusing on calories, I focus more on the macro nutrients (fat, carbs, and protein) and it’s working out well for me. Last year was kinda in the dumps and gained 30 pounds and when 2018 came by I focused more on training and counting my macros. I lost the thirty i gained and as a plus also lost another 25 (but I feel like the supplements I took also helped with the weight loss). Also, it’s easier to count the macros when intermittent fasting like I can have a small meal for lunch and eat like a king at dinner without worrying much about the calories I ate. If I have any left over I can enjoy something sweet like chocolate.

I tried gluten-free for a while but I really like bread and I can't stand fake gluten-free bread, as well as the fact that dairy is a big part of that diet and I really should be staying away from dairy as much as I can.

I might try keto. My friend is doing that right now and she's been saying it's going really well for her. Right now though it's not too big of a concern for me as I've barely been eating the past few days regardless since I've been pretty nauseous for whatever reason. When I'm feeling better I'll look into keto, though.

I did the calories in calories out diet. Which isn't a fad I think. I believe its just how you're supposed to diet. I accomplished it by eating mostly cheese on toasted bread, occasionally accompanied by pop tarts or cereal.

pennylessz : I have no idea what the Calories in Calories out diet. Do you just count how many calories you eat and make sure you don't eat more than you burn?

Minuano : Keto, in my opinion, is an unfortunate diet fad. I believe this for a few reasons, but most importantly it's terrible for the environment. The WHO has said that eating less animal products is the single most important thing a person can do for the environment; yet all these keto people are going around eating tons of eggs, meat, and butter. It's quite selfish if you ask me.

Light Knight : That's the gist of it. Some scientist went like a month eating only really awful junk food like twinkies, but they measured how many calories they took in. By the end, they actually managed to lose weight.
