The Video Game Music Radio that I host on Twitch went down months ago and I never really officially said why. I've seen multiple threads go up since it went down asking where it went so I'm finally going to explain why it went down and the future of the Video Game Music Radio.

My old desktop was what I used to host the radio. I left it on 24/7 (with occasional weekly reboots) and it was responsible for running the software and scripts used for hosting the stream. Back in January, that computer finally stopped working (it's about 10 years old) which left me with only 1 computer, my primary laptop. Since the streaming takes up a lot of resources and makes it difficult to do anything while the stream is going, I chose not to use my Laptop to continue it. I had plans on possibly getting that old computer fixed but it never really happened.

I'm now hosting it on my Laptop to gauge how much interest there still is for the Video Game Music Radio to keep going. I don't plan to have it up all week long on my Laptop but will definitely try to have it up a few days a week, most likely Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (those are the days I work my 12 hour shifts so I don't need to use my computer during those times).

For those who don't know what the Video Game Music Radio is, it's a music stream that is intended to play video game music all day every day with different events each day and each week. These events either determine what type of gaming music is played, whether users can request songs to be played, and whether the event allows user to answer the automated video game trivia (which then places them on to a leaderboard). The official Vizzed page for the radio can be found here. I also had a ton of future plans for the radio so if this can take off again and if I can find a good solution to continue hosting it (more info on that below), there's more to come.

If I can get my desktop fixed, or if I can get a new cheap computer to replace that desktop, the radio will go back up as a 24/7 radio again. If anyone is interested in helping make that happen, there are 2 things that can be done: Donate to help get me a new computer (I just need something cheap for probably $400) or possibly even Donate a computer. Maybe that sounds greedy but I don't actually make money off of the Stream and have nowhere near the budget to fund a computer for it myself.
