I've been away from home for a while, and since it has also been a while since I went to Vizzed last time, I thought I'd visit it again on another computer.

I was about to look through if any new games were added in the RGR, only to be directed to a page where UPC says that this website is dangerous and could possibly cause damage.

I never had this problem with my home computer, and it seems specific to the computer I'm using right now. Is this supposed to be normal?

What is UPC and their website, show us where it says that. Vizzed is safe as far as I know. Maybe it says that as a precaution because Vizzed may contain downloadable files. That is my guess although I'm not sure.

I got that when I first started using Vizzed. I don't know what UPC is, but I got a similiar message. I wouldn't worry about, since you know Vizzed is fine. But, other sites you are not familiar with I would be cautious towards.

Not to worry, I get UPC all the time whenever I visit any site (not just Vizzed), it really means nothing. Heck, it has done that to me on Google, GOOGLE out of all places.

So, you shouldn't worry, Vizzed is a pretty safe website when it comes to virus or anything like that.

Ok, for people that are consumed about what this UPC means, The closest result I got is called "Unified Parallel C" and basically what that is, it's a program designed for high-performance computing, to share and distribute memory. which has nothing to do on what's mentioned on here.

Other than the Unified Parallel C, I kept looking for more standings for UPC in anything related to technology, the only other thing I keep getting is Universal Product Code, and those are also known as "barcodes" and you all know what those are used for (scanning stuff at stores and what not)

Other than those, I seen nothing else with the abbreviation "UPC" anywhere in the world of technology.

This really has nothing to do with the issue that is being suffering and to my knowledge, it's one of those ads that pretends to warn you  that the site (Vizzed) has a virus, when in reality that it's just an ad that wants to fool you.

So, there isn't really anything to be afraid of

There is a telecommunications company called UPC, which operates in multiple European countries. So it can be his internet service provider ... just guessing.

there was a similar incident that happened to me once when i tried to log onto Viz and at first it worried me until i read in the announcements that someone at the time had tried to hack into the site and david had the problem fixed but after that i have never had any other problems with Viz i have been here over 5 years and to me Viz is a much safer site to go to for games than some other sites including one i went to in  the past for game gear games that actually had a bug but luckily my avast was able to remove it

Tafarijah is right, UPC is a telecommunications company, and the one I was referring to. Now I'm back home, and I don't have to deal with this anymore, it was just a temporary problem while I had to be away.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
