You need to stop posting it is unfair for everyone else competing! I've already made a complaint to the mods to disqualify you so I can get an advantage and win. Just kidding LOL....

If you want to, no one is forcing you to compete. It's not very active so if you drop out it will be even more dead in this place. So keep posting if you want. If someone wants to beat you in post count they will have to step up.

It's not unfair with you around. It's easier for people to complain and take out their opponents than to try to step up their game to match the opponents.

However, there's an atmosphere of doubt around your activity. Your posts, in most cases, are short and vague, like you're posting rather mindlessly in order to bulk up your count. Coupled with the fact that you're posting recklessly, because there aren't that many new threads to post in so as to keep this level of activity all month long, that's what makes things "unfair".

As a past winner, I can tell you that you should step down a bit. You're going way over your regular level of activity, and keeping it like that is incredibly taxing. I almost overburnt myself last January, to the point I even slacked off in the last days due to running out of energy, so you should manage your activity better.

If you want to keep going, you need a different approach. Instead of doing 6-7 posts under 30 words, make 2-3 over 50 words and nobody will complain. You don't need many posts a day to win Blue, and if you want a 7 pointer, just post double the amount of second place, saving any extra post you could make for another day so you don't run out of options very early.

That's basically it. If yesterday you had made 12 posts and at most 2 of them were below 30 words, then 1) you wouldn't have posted this thread today 2) you'd have almost one day worth of posts saved up and 3) you would have gotten the same Blue points than you got with 24 posts.

If you want to quit, we'll all accept it, but you must know it's not your only choice. If you want to continue, you should keep this in mind. You're the only active user that hasn't won the TdV, so you have both an extra motivation and an extra fanbase cheering for you so we don't repeat a winner.

Don't rush this decision, you have plenty of time.

The only thing we are asking is that your posts aren't too generic and stay on topic.

Keep on posting and competing. The others need to step up their game if they want to beat you. :3

Coming from another past TdV winner, this would be my advice, it is best to slack down on your post count. This is my strategy on winning a TdV, it's best to post a little and still find a way to get 1st (or 2nd or even 3rd), instead of overkilling it everyday and you end up screwing yourself in the later parts of the month, which can prove fatal on winning TdV.

Plus look at the bright side, right now, the site is nearly dead, even for a TdV, compared to the TdV that I won in January 2015, the site was a whole lot more active, with far more people posting stuff, like the word count leader had as much as 3,000 words in a single day and post leader as much as 100 posts in a single day. So really, you don't have a lot of competition.

Plus another thing, during the TdV that I won, I didn't let others control me on how I competed, I just manage to follow the TdV rules, and I competed no matter what anyone says, that can't force me to simply stop competing, the only one that should tell you to quit competing is you. I went by this and kept on going regardless on what anyone else said, they ain't me. If they didn't like it, then they should compete harder, plain and simple.

These are the steps to follow on winning a TdV...
1.. Follow the TdV rules and the site rules
2.. Go with the jersey or jerseys that you're more comfortable with.
3.. Don't pay attention towards those that wants you to drop out.
4.. Do your absolute best without overkilling yourself (which will cost you)

The fact there's one or two of these threads every single TDV is very telling.

I have nothing more to add on to the topic.

Stay on-topic, don't be spammy and irrelevant, and it will be fine.

It's not the ammount your posting, at least in my opinion, Killer. It's the quality of the post, and the randomness of them from what I've seen.

I don't like posting and echoing what other people said, because I could just like their post to show my agreeance, but pretty much what leggy said (stay on topic and don't spam), and what Igor said (don't kill yourself and burn the tank right away; pace yourself), and you'll be fine.

No I would not give up at all. As others have said just follow the rules and you will be fine. TDV is fun competition. The rules are put in place to keep the competition fare. Follow them and you should have no problem getting points and rising in the ranks

Agreeing with Legacy, we have seen a bunch of these kinds of threads posted about "wanting to drop out" and all it became is spam threads because these same people ends up competing like a week later and these same people ends up placing somewhere in like the top 5.

In this thread alone, we have 4 TdV winners on here (me, EX, Legacy, and Thing), and basically what all 4 of us did to win our respected TdVs is to never give up, and keep on going regardless on what others try to throw towards us, all while following both the TdV rules and site rules.

If you want togive up, that is totally up to you, we don't control on what you do. If you want to drop out, that's perfectly fine, if you want to continue competing, that's perfectly fine, you do on what
YOU think is best thing to do.
