I'm not sure any game is "nothing more" than that. That said, I do acknowledge an increase of suggestive content in video games, even of a serious nature. JRPGs in some senses have become better, and in others worse. Ni No Kuni I and II are among the best games ever made, and in my mind are not built to appeal to such fetishes. If more JRPGs were like them, there would be a much better world, in my opinion.
