I had fun doing this on Reddit (although I'm not sure I'd suggest most people to go there, due to the toxic stuff that people write there). So I figured I should bring it here, a more family-friendly environment.

Once a week (an overall prompt) and once per day (a daily prompt, although you can do these any day), I'm going to post "prompts" that you guys can write stories about. So, say I were to say "potato: What is it?" you would write something describing the potato. It could be silly or serious, just how you like it. I might post a quote from a character's point of view. You might write from the perspective of that character, or simply include the character in a broader perspective. It's your playground. The first two prompts are here:

Weekly prompt: Math is subject to silly or different rules. How does that "new" math work?
Daily Prompt: ALDI now requires two quarters per cart
