Across the United states and probably throughout Midwestern and Eastern Canada, there have been low temperatures which if called extreme, would probably be an understatement. Dipping into the mid-low 30s F (nearing 0 Celsius for anyone not in the United States) in northern Florida, dipping below freezing in Houston, Texas and even dropping to 2 F or lower (-17C), it's been a season colder than most if not all I can recall. We even woke up to frozen pipes for the first time, today. In parts of Iowa, it was as much as 10 degrees F colder than most of Antarctica! Ye, the southern hemisphere is having their summer right about now, but we're talking about Antarctica for crying out loud.

How cold is it where you are? If you're in Europe, are you getting it as rough as we are?

This is the final proof, global warming is all a lie

Well, I don't have news about this winter being extremely cold in Europe. We did have a very cold winter last year, but as of now we're still doing good. In fact, I think we haven't fully entered winter yet because it still feels like Autumn.

2 F is indeed extremely cold for the US, but I'm surprised you consider it extreme for Canada as well. Surely you mean certain regions which aren't this cold on a normal basis, but overall Canada is a cold country, or at least that's the opinion we have over here.

I'm in Colorado, and the weather has been pretty cold, it even dropped to like 0F one day. But this is Colorado we're talking about, so I didn't see it as anything new. This is probably normal for us X'D.

The other places though sound pretty cold for what temperatures they usually are :o

I will mention that despite the cold weather we have gotten snow like. Once. And it wasn't even that much like just enough to cover the ground /

EX Palen : I was actually surprised to find that Canadian weather's a lot like the Midwest or North United States. At least, the the southern regions where the major cities are. It gets a whole lot colder once you get into the northern parts of the provinces and, as I'm told by someone who lives in Canada, there's almost no one living in the north, particularly the Canadian Archipelago, that aren't natives. Inuits, Inuktituks, etc. Getting into the negatives Fahrenheit is probably commonplace in places like Yellowknife or White Horse.

Where I live we not only need to deal with snow and extreme cold temperatures but also high wind and fog making for very dangerous travel conditions along the interstates.

I live in canada and right now our temperature is in the -24  to -9 range which is normal for this time of the year since our winters are always quit cold in fact we had one winter a couple of years ago where for about 2 months it was even colder than what it is now due to an arctic chill that we were going through at the time

Here in NY I was looking at daily temps so i could determine if I would go outside. I wanted to see if it was warmer or colder than the day before and I found out that it was the coldest December 28th, 29th, and January 1st in history. Regular temperature was at 5-9 and the wind chill brought it down to -5.

Spoiler I went out.
To the beach.

Here in Alabama, it hasn't gotten out of the 30s much for a few days, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think I saw my car show higher than 34 yesterday. It's cold enough that even with me being used to the cold from living in and visiting the state of Washington so much when I was younger, I think 45 is freezing. So you can only imagine what the low 30s are doing for me.
I'm actually surprised everybody hasn't started freaking out down here yet. If it snows even just a dusting, the entire state gets shut down.

I'm in Southwest Virginia. Luckily, we here aren't getting it too bad snow-wise. Virginia Beach has 3-5 inches of snow coming, so I'm thankful that we aren't getting that (yet). The temperature here sucks, though. It never gets above freezing. Right now, it's twenty-eight degrees Fahrenheit. It gets down to single digits in the night. I have personally seen it down as low as two degrees Fahrenheit.
