  sorry to hear about your brother I have a brother who I hardly get to see since he lives in another province and moves around quit a bit the only thing I can think of that I want for Christmas is a new computer chair since all I have now is a swivel rocker that is so low that it hurts my legs sometimes but if I don,t get one for Christmas I will probably end up buying one

I have gotten away from wanting "things" as I've gotten older.  I think it's much more fun to go do stuff and get experiences.  I'd rather have someone give me a present like tickets to the QuickLane Bowl football game, or indoor skydiving or a show or something like that vs. just getting a thing like a video game.

I get more enjoyment out of sharing a social experience with other people.  I'm not picky, I'll watch or experience anything.

Sorry to hear that  I do get to see my youngest brother though maybe 3 times a year as he is away in prison; bad choices. But, as far as Christmas presents I really stopped wishing for them as the last 5 years have been quite different. Ever since I became independent, I've been mostly forgotten when it comes to presents though I do spend up to $600 on presents for everyone. Gifting feels just as good, but yeah definitely miss that feeling of being gifted something thoughtful or with love. So this year I am actually saving up to buy me a nicer car my gift from me to me and I am planning on meeting up with friends over a bonfire, all wearing those ugly warm itchy sweaters, enjoying some festive music and alcohol infused cocoa. That should help get the spirit going.

To be honest, I didn't know what I wanted until a week or so before Christmas. With a lot of $$$$ I was making during the last 3 months before with working overtime every day at my job, I bought what I wanted, but I did get a few things. I think I did more buying for people then anything, which is something I normally do anyways.

I got a few football jerseys, some Seattle Seahawks stuff, and so on. A new 3TB external hard drive for my computer, a few Amazon gift cards, and some money (about $140). It was a nice Christmas, quite relaxing, other then I had to be at work on that Tuesday around 2:15AM, and I was fighting a hangover and cold on Christmas Day lol
