For the past few days, users were unable to submit screenshots or get high scores for NES games. Even worst, the pages took a while to load and usually cut off. These have been fixed.

Also a reminder that there's only 2 days left to participate in this month's screenshot and high score competitions, remember that there's 27,000 total Viz to be handed out in these competitions.

I've added MSX and Commodore 64 games to the site. However, the MSX games haven't been tested yet so play them at risk because they might not work. As for the Commodore 64 games, they haven't been tested and they still have to be properly named, play those at risk also. I'm hoping by the end of the month that all the non working games for those systems will be removed, the games properly named and the adult games removed.

Vizzed is back up and is now on both servers again like it had been before the incident of this past week.

Vizzed will be down for a few minutes sometime during the next half hour, I'll be transferring the Database over to the 2nd Server again.

For the next few hours you all might notice the Forums being rearranged, I'm working on a few forum structure which will be available in a few hours. You can still post like normal.

As most of you know by now, Vizzed is back, for more info, refer to the previous announcement.

As a way to say sorry for Vizzed being down for 12+ hours, games will cost 50% less Viz for the next 3 days!

For reasons beyond me, the Plesk Control Panel which is installed on the 2nd Server which hosts the Database for Vizzed got messed up and the server also got messed up (I have no idea what happened either, I didn't touch anything). After many hours I was able to get Godaddy to fix the server but the Plesk installation is beyond repair so I'll have to have that server formatted and the Plesk CP reinstalled. So for the time being, the DB will be on the same server as everything else. A month or so ago I got a 2nd server to help reduce site strain in order to increase the site speed. Until I get the 2nd Server back up and running, the site will be a little slower than normal since the DB will be on it again. When the 2nd Server is ready for the DB to be transferred, Vizzed will probably be down for just a few hours, this will probably take place within the next 1 or 2 days.

About 6 hours ago Vizzed DB was transferred to a new Server. This process actually went very smoothly, I think the site was only down for a half hour if that.

What does this mean for everyone? Well the pages should still run quickly even during peak hours. Vizzed should now be able to handle between 2000-3000 people on at a time, compared to 500-600 before. Connecting to a DB that isn't on the same server as the PHP files adds a slight delay but hopefully it isn't to noticeable.

I also updated the Chat Bar to a stable release which means that it should have less glitches now. I also changed the scheme of it a little.

I've purchased a 2nd server to help out with the Server strain.

Vizzed will be down for a few hours any time between 12 AM and 12 PM Central Time.

The 2nd Server will increase the site's speed greatly, there's just to much traffic for only 1 server so it's about time that we get a 2nd server.

Unfortunetly this also jacks up the monthly fee to keep the site up to about $400 a month, so this is also a reminder to donate to Vizzed if you can afford it.

Sorry for the inconvenience of being down on and off, everything should be up and working fine now. There might be another security update tomorrow but I will inform you all with an announcement if I plan on doing anything which could result into the site being unavailable.

Someone went through and edited the info to 30+ game pages in the Retro Game Room (mostly hacks). For most of the games the file was either removed or the game was marked as not working, resulting into these games not being playable.

I fixed all that I saw that were edited, if any other games still don't work that did before, please let me know here:

I just want to announce that we received $270 in donations, the target was $300 but I was able to come up with the rest. I currently don't have enough money to renew the server 9 days from now and I'm in need of $300 for it. I honestly don't know where I'm going to come up with the money and I fear that vizzed could be down for a while if we don't get the $300 before September 12th.

If everyone who can afford just a little bit pitches in, we'll have enough for sure, so please consider helping out if you're able to. And remember, you are awarded 10,000 Viz for each US $10 you donate.



Reasons why I'm behind on the payment? 2 reasons:

1. I used a lot of the Vizzed fund to put toward an updated RGR Plugin without realizing that I put almost all of it toward the RGR Plugin. (the new RGR Plugin will be released soon which will have a few new features, many bugs and problems fixed, and also support for the famicom disk system).

2. My wife and I have our baby due any day which means money is very tight for us right now with all the baby expenses and hospital bills so I honestly don't have any of my own money to spare this time

What or Where is your Referral code?
It can be found right below the message center (where it shows your Private Messages, Announcements and Notifications at the top of the page). You'll see a URL that highlights when you click it. Your referral link is relevant to the page so whatever page you copy the referral link from, that's the page the person will be taken to when they click your link. People can also sign up without clicking your referral link, when they are registering they can simply type in your username to refer to you (you'll still earn up to 2700 Viz this route).
