The basis behind the game is that there are two sides, the Mafia and the Bystanders. All (however many people are playing) have been trapped inside a (place of your choice) and in order to get out, one team must become the victor. The catch? The Public do not know who the Mafia are, but the Mafia know who the other Mafia are. 

Each person will have a role in the game. That role will be randomly assigned, without preference. There are eight roles in total: 


1: Bystander - You're a simple bystander in all of this madness. You just get to voice your opinion during the day and hope you don't die during the night. 

2: Doctor - With your medical mastery, you can bring back anybody from the brink of death (even yourself), but only once per night. Every night, you visit the player of your choice and save their life if their previous guest happened to be a Mafia member. Your medicine doesn't work on the same person twice in a row, though, so you have to switch patients every round. 

3: Sheriff - You are the (somewhat) logical detective. With just a single night of research, you can determine whether or not anybody of your choosing is a Mafia member or not. (Except for the Godfather.) 

4: Mafia - You get to kill people in their sleep. Every night, you all agree on one person to kill. Alternatively, you can vote to investigate the exact position of a player. Every day, the Bystanders try to kill you back. There is a ratio of four bystanders to one Mafia member. You take turns doing the dirty deed with an order randomly picked before the game starts. 

5: Thug - Even though you're just a fall guy to the other Mafia members, your decision on when to take the bullet can change the course of the entire game. Although you don't know who your superiors are, it's your job to die for them during the day round if you think the Bystanders are going to vote one of them off. You actually count as a bystander, so don't think that your death will be in vain! 

6: Trapper - When logical deduction just isn't enough. During the night, you can set up one of your special traps so that anybody who exits a room of your choice will be killed instantly. The trap gets disabled before morning, so there's no danger of killing the person living in the trapped room, but any intruders, regardless of their intentions, will be indiscriminately annihilated once their deed is done. You have to build your own traps beyond the first one, though, which takes one night round to do. 

7: Godfather- It's time to show the Bystanders who's boss. (But not until the end, or else they'll kill you.) Not even the Sheriff can tell you're a Mafia member, and you can sneak around the Trapper's trap as if it wasn't even there. Now, you don't usually do any of the killings yourself, but if you're alone, you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. 

8: Insomniac - Maybe you drink too many caffeinated drinks, or maybe you watch too many scary movies, but for whatever reason, you never seem to fall asleep. Every night, you can tell when something is happening in the rooms next to you, but you can't tell who's responsible since you don't actually leave the room. If people visit your room, however, you'll be able to tell both who they are and what position they have by what they do next. (Mafia members will obviously kill you before you get to tell anybody, though.) 


The game consists of multiple "Night" and "Day" rounds... each game starts with a night round. The following will happen (In PMs) 


1: All Mafia members will PM me the name of up to four people that they want dead or to investigate. The person with the most votes between them all will be killed/investigated. In the event of a tie, the Godfather will give the final vote. 

2: The Doctor will PM me one person that they are trying to save. If its the same person that the Mafia wants dead, then the life is saved and the bystanders get another chance. 

3: The Sheriff will PM me the name of one person in the game. I will tell you if they are mafia or not. 

4: The Trapper will either tell me to build a trap or PM me the name of a player. If it is the same one that the Mafia chooses to kill, then a Mafia member will die along with the person in that room. If the Doctor enters after the Mafia, then the person is saved. However if only the Doctor enters in the night, the Doctor is dead. 

5: The Insomniac will be informed of the name and position of anybody that visited the Insomniac's room and/or any activity in the adjacent rooms, if the situation permits. 

6: After the night passes, the name anybody who was killed as well as their role(s), will be announced. When you are killed, you aren't allowed to contribute any information whatsoever that reveals the nature of any persons. 


After a night turn, a day round comes around. The following will happen. 


1: Anybody who is dead or saved will be announced. (Only the dead have their position announced.) 

2: For 24-48 hours, everyone will be allowed to converse and voice their theories. PLEASE INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE PERSON YOU THINK IS IN THE MAFIA, IN BOLD. Failure to do so may result in your vote not being connoted. 

3: After 24-48 hours, I will look through and pick the three most "accused" people. They will be up for voting. During this time, you ARE allowed to vote for a "no kill" 

4: The entire group of people will then have a vote of killing. Whoever gets the most votes will be killed off. 

5: In case of a tie, a single person who did not vote for either tie-member will do a tie breaker. (If, for some reason, nobody is available, the victim will be randomly chosen.) 

6: At this point, a Thug can step in and take the bullet if he or she believes the person up for killing to be in the Mafia. (He or she can also PM me beforehand stating the conditions which need to apply if he or she is to take the bullet.) 

7: If enough people vote to kill off nobody, then nobody will be killed for that day. Nighttime will follow the voting round like normal. 

The process then goes into a night round once more, and repeats until there are as many or more Mafia members as bystanders, or until all of the Mafia is killed. 


Keep in mind: 


1: The Godfather appears to be on the side of good when checked by the Sheriff, and the Godfather can't be killed at night. 

2: The Mafia can still function without a Godfather. 

3: The Insomniac can only sense activity in the adjacent rooms, so no names or positions are revealed unless they visit the Insomniac's own room. (He or she will be able to tell which room(s) the activity is from, though.) 

4: The Insomniac can only learn the position of a Mafia member if he or she was both visited that night by the Mafia and saved by the Doctor. (In this case, the Insomniac wouldn't learn who the Doctor is, just like anybody else he or she saves.) 

5: The only things that the Insomniac doesn't detect as activity are when players do nothing and when the Sheriff investigates. 

6: The room order is based off the list of players where with twelve players, for example, player twelve is next to player one and player eleven.

7: The Sheriff and the Mafia don't enter anybody else's room to do research, so they can't be killed by the Trapper during this action. 

8: If the Mafia is placed in a situation I deem to be impossible to win normally, they will automatically win at the beginning of the following Day Round. 

9: None of the private messages I send you may be presented publicly unless stated otherwise. 

10: If the Trapper traps their own room, they will get caught in it unless somebody else triggers it first.
